See the likes of Keyon Brown, Lorenzo Carter and the existing group of defensive players, not a bad situation for a "first year defensive coordinator" in Athens.

DWS there has been a lot of chatter about our defensive backs, but when I take a closer look and see players like you mention, Carter and others, I get a certain amount of relief.

Still keeping my eyes open to the recruiting portion of our team, that of course in my book comes back to offensive linemen. Can't imagine young stud offensive linemen not wanting to make holes for the likes of Nick/Sony and others coming on board in this Class of 2014.

AJ Turman came to play, not much being said, he can carry the mail. Maybe Turman will be a part of that "special package" that is being discussed "quietly" among followers of Georgia football. Did I say that?

One thing that really gets my juices flowing DWS is knowing that the 2015 Class still has a way to go.

With you on this "group of coaches" that we now have. There can be no doubting that they have been successful in both high school and college.

We talk about players and competition, that also applies to coaches. Some can and some can't.

Pruitt came to campus with a totally different approach to how he wants things done. That to me says one thing, leadership. Same can be said about Rocker. Both have had success and now they are with us.

Not to say I am not excited about the other defensive coaches. These guys have also been successful and appears they want to be a part of something special.

Player talent once again resides in Athens. Maybe we are closer to having the talented coaches needed to make a positive step forward.

DWS, I don't try and fool myself about talent in other places. At this point, if we are going by the talking heads rating system, we are not near the top. Realize as I said, there is a lot of room left in the 2015 Class to make hay in that area. Each and every SEC football team will get better. Have to keep our eyes on those that want to break up the recruiting process for the last seven or eight years in the Southeast.

Franklin will be a pain in urban meyer's butt, no doubt in my mind about that. Both will be hitting the South real hard . . . . and often.

DWS there should be no doubts that Gurley is going to have a monster year. He will open with Clemson and that will be just the beginning. No way does he come back to Athens after this season.

When and if Gurley wants a breather, he has shown before, that will be his decision.

No doubt in my mind that the Clemson folks know that this group is Athens is ready to get it on.

If we get real with one another, Gurley needs to, and will run over and around a lot of defenders this season. He will be showcased with his catching the football, opening up whatever Bobo wants to do with the rest of his "very talented" group of pups.

Hard offense to scheme against. Bet our cleats that Clemson is doing that now.

Get our punting game together, get Richt out of the way, Special Teams will light it up.

Clemson is a very good football team, well coached, talented, but they lost some pieces that are not replaced easily.
