Continue to talk about how good we are at the skill positions yet very little talk of the players with their hands in the dirt UNLESS it is to point out a weakness. Pure and utter BS and excuse making and I for one am tired of it.
The talk is now is how good we will be with some experience now in our secondary and ALL of our defense coming back but 1 player. The media spin continues fed by the coaches. Our offense will be great again because the injured will be back. No talk again about the O line and basic fundamentals like blocking and tackling which is not taught by this coaching staff. Don't care how experienced your secondary is if you cannot tackle and run basic cover experience is utter BS.
Post up all the media BS you want but for me show me on the FIELD.
sigh

wlayton wrote: Buc and WD, my UGA friend at my office (I've referred to him before with some of his info....his cousin is Ray Goff) sent the article to me. Btw, he feels like we do but thought the article was worth reading etc. I'll ask him Monday who wrote it.
Another case of "if's and but's".
Since the person that wrote it said they got their masters degree from UGA, I thought it might have been Bobo.
Sorry it was so long but thought some may want to read it. Thanks for taking the time.
wlayton, noticed that the person said that he received his Masters from Georgia. He did not say that he played football for Georgia. Reading what he said, could have played anywhere. Lots of folks become Georgia backers even though they did not attend. yd1 would be a good example of that.
Have always been one to read and listen to "words" carefully.
Buc, will find out tomorrow who wrote the article.

You have over the years had thoughts and words about the offensive line. Remember when you started posting, one of your first comments was . . . . "Have monitored this board for a long time", and then you stepped forward. This board has benefited from your "wisdom" since you put your fingers on the keyboard. That is not BS. You played, you know that "hands in the dirt" are a must to move forward.
I draw from the article the same thing you said, and commented on in the first paragraph above in your post.
Where do you think they get the info to write such things. Why the coaching staff tells them of course.
ogredawg, there is concern in Athens, too much "hype" coming from the "street walkers" to think otherwise. Every conceivable "excuse" has been thrown out for consumption by the folks that buy into BS.
Said a while back in another thread, falls on us, those of us that buy into the "Groups" efforts to move the ball forward. Can't let up on those that need to show "cause".
You are damn sure appreciated.
If I believe the "media hype" . . . . pablum spoon fed to the media, I look for no less than the best defense ever in Athens.
Offense, have serious concerns about the offensive line. Sound like wlayton two years back, and he was totally correct . . . . concerns about the offensive line are still with us.
wlayton, might be better if you did not release the name of the person that wrote the article. I am not really concerned with that at this point, wanted to know when I first read the article, after reading it more than once, twice, three times, really not important to me.
Only thing that I would suggest is the person that authored the article, come to this board, us not knowing who he is and let us see how that works out. He said some things that are from where I stand, true. He did slip into homerism, but many of us are guilty of that.
Like Wartdawg said, makes for good "back and forth". The author was never ugly in the article, he was working Georgia football from his "angle". Hope that makes sense.

Bauta will not play next year and transfer to another school where he will lead them to a final four appearance.
