I appreciate wlayton posting it , but it's more of the same. Excuse upon excuse for our defeats. Downplaying some of our issues while crowing about the areas where we did okay. Pointing out how we were in every game but I would note that most of our opponents were in every game as well. Rah rah..we'll gettem next year.

wlayton, agree with Wartdawg on his interpretation.

Also, appreciate you posting this particular article. (Sincere statement wlayton).

Found the article to be thought provoking. Most "issues" and UGA football is an "issue" that is being looked at much closer than past years. Many of the football friends and folks that I know are looking past the head coach. Seemed to be a lot of head coach support in the article, that is where the author of the article is, have to respect his right to draw the conclusions presented.

First thing that caught my eyes were the first word in the article. Athens. Don't like to use the word "homer" but . . . .

Could say a lot more, will hang around and see if others have something to say. It is an open board, closed mouths do not a "successful board make".

wlayton, there is a lot of this being passed around since the 8-5. Statistics suit some more than others. The truth usually comes down to the end of the game and how it was played. No room for excuses in the SEC. Those that choose that route, usually ride off into the sunset being disappointed.

Interesting read concerning the quarterback position, almost seems that the author played the position. First article I have read on the position that has handed the position to a particular player. Do think there was "homerism" after reading the article in its entirety for the second time. Actually became much clearer to me after the second reading.

Thanks for the post.

Buc and WD, my UGA friend at my office (I've referred to him before with some of his info....his cousin is Ray Goff) sent the article to me. Btw, he feels like we do but thought the article was worth reading etc. I'll ask him Monday who wrote it.

Another case of "if's and but's".

Since the person that wrote it said they got their masters degree from UGA, I thought it might have been Bobo. B)

Sorry it was so long but thought some may want to read it. Thanks for taking the time.

wlayton, enjoyed reading the article. Think we need more of the point, counter point on this board. All of us have opinions, and of course we know who should and should not play. Makes posting much more fun. :) tks

Thanks for posting it. I have no problem reading opinions different than mine. In fact, I welcome it. I want to be challenged and I want to know I can defend my own opinion. I want to hear the best argument the other side can make.
