No goose, I really don't. richt doesn't demand greatness from his coaches, he accepts their shortcomings without dealing with them, and will never change his coaching philosophies, his stubbornness and his desire to play games not to lose rather than go all out and try to win. I mean, we came out strong against UK and put em away early. Why now? Just because it was Murray's last home game? Why haven't we done that for years? People say, well it was Kentucky. True, but if I'm not mistaken, I think the halftime scores of App St and North Texas were 14-6 and 21-21 (I could be off, but the point is, we should have done way worse than what we did to UK to those teams). That attitude is why we rarely put cream puffs away and why we lose game we shouldn't that cost us championships. And why we pooch kick to Auburn to start the game. And why we kick FG's on 4th and goal from the 1 in a bowl game against what should have been an inferior team.

Bottom line is we need a change. If no other TG has to go and if it takes beating that horse till all the hair is gone and its turned to leather so be it.

I will catch flak for this but here goes, not to long ago there was a lot of talk saying CMR does not need to stick his nose on the defensive side of the ball, to let TG handle it.Now that he has done just what was asked how can you double back fault him for it.Just to be straight I'm not defending all his actions just this one point.

If I was looking for a new DC I would do as Wart mentioned in his post and look at the FCS level, find the best that they have to offer and see what he could do with the talent we have.

Lot of great points here. I see where both are coming from, and very valid points both ways. I believe I am somewhere in the middle.

I do believe UGA could achieve success under CMR, but it would take quite a few changes that I do not think he is will to make. Going to list a few solutions that I believe would work.

1. Replace CMR with Kirby Smart. He would be the only somewhat realistic HC I would accept. Think all the other candiates I have seen listed haven proven that they also have many flaws. I think any other move would be a lateral move.

2. If we are not going to get rid of Richt, then CTG needs to be gone for sure. This is college football. I can live with injuries as an excuse for the offense. What I cannot accept past week 4 is that the youth excuse. Maybe the guys don't know the system. By week 4, you should know what they do well. If that means dumbing down, and only using half the playbook. So be it, Take advantage of what they do well, instead of calling what you want to see them run. I am ok with promoting within as well. CCW has experience and that would provide another opening for....

3. A ST coordinator would be mandatory. Even if it is a position coach. I want one guy whose primary focus is special teams.

4. CMR is not a rah-rah guy. Nothing wrong with that. Saban isn't either. To me, they are very similiar in their demeanor. However, Saban was smart enough to get a guy who is. Has anyone ever seen the way Bama's strength and condition coordinator gets those players pumped up. We need a guy like that. He takes the intensity to another level. He is that guy that gets the players going each and every day. If you have never seen it, take a look on youtube for the bama strength and conditioning coach. Believe his name is Scott Cochran. Was doing some research on strength and conditioning because it is just a part of me. Do we think JT gets the guys going like this? He is also involved in a lot more than the weight room. Saw him constantly going crazy on the sidelines in many games.

Liking option #1 because out of all them, it seems like the only would that would be somewhat realistic. CMR is not going to change. I like CMR but refusing to change will get you beat. Either adjust or get left behind. Believe CMR is not into adapting.

GO DAWGS. Great stuff guys.

Prepare to be unhappy for a few more years.

Don't get me wrong... I'll be right there with you, but part of my unhappiness right now is because we constantly fail to
live up to expectations.

I no longer have any of those expectations. We're not an elite program... we're the type of program where 12-2 when we have an incredibly easy schedule for a SEC team is about the very best for which we can hope.

There's no sense for me to expect more when the university doesn't expect more.

Maybe I shouldn't have said "happy" and left it at ready to "deal with it", but I'll never again go into a season expecting
more as long as this regime is in place.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

I am prepared for that, and I have been unhappy with this team for the past few years. I'll keep voicing my concerns, maybe if enough people do somebody may listen eventually.
