Why are uga fans so dissatified with winning 75% of your games? You play in a very competitive conference and win much more than you lose. There are 5-6 teams on your schedule that have won NC's since you have. All of those teams want to win just as much as you do. Ive got more to say but not if I cant be posted...

scooby, would like to read what you have to say. :)

Okay here goes. There are probably 25 programs that have the capability to win all their games and be the NC's. In a given year maybe five of those programs have the players. You have to get a little lucky for this to happen. It happened one time in Athens and they were lucky to win several of those games. They atually had a better team the years after they were champs, just didnt get the lucky breaks. If HW had not come to Athens they would not have won the title. A team like bama can get on a roll winning a few years and then they get momentum which makes it easier. Bama went a lot of years without winning a title.

UGA was one play away last year. I just think you guys are a little unrealistic in your expectations. Heck, if its that important to win all the games hire a team like the globe trotters had and you can beat them every saturday.

Your philosophy reminds me of "most" women's attitudes towards sports.....most just aren't competitive.

Imo, you play a sport to WIN....period......otherwise they wouldn't keep score.

scooby, are you female? Btw, we do want to hear more from you. You are certainly welcomed to the forum. :)

Hey, I like to win too. Not saying striving to win is a bad thing. Just pointing out that its unrealistic to think you can dominate other teams that have big programs and want to win just as bad as you do. UGA's last championship year was 1980 or some time in there. Since then Clemson, Florida, Auburn, GT, and Tennesee have won. USC and Missouri are big programs capable of winning it all to.

I dont care who coaches UGA. If MR gets fired it wont take him long to find another job. I think Lane Kiffen is looking for work...

Actually think that most of your post is very good. Very good meaning I agree with much of what you said, I don't speak for others. Hard to get everyone on the same page, but after a period of time it is much easier to distinguish between "luck" and being "prepared".

You mention "Bama", which I often do when referring to stepping up as a program and otherwise as a comparison. Really all we have to do is check the amount of National Championships that both universities display.

Quite frankly, Alabama fans are far more demanding than Georgia fans. Ever thought about that? Could be it is high time for us to take on a different attitude about winning x number of games and sticking our chest out. Alabama takes it a step further, they keep their chest extended. There is a reason for that. Coaching from the Bear and now from Saban. These two were/are in the game for one reason, and that of course is to win National Championships.

If others want to tell me that 10 win seasons are ok, then both of us understand where we are coming from. The folks that pay the premium dollars for seats have a right to 8, 9, 10, 11 win seasons. I have the same right for the dollars I have spent over many years to tire of the same 8, 9, 10, 11 win seasons and not expect more.

Truthfully I am tired of not seeing what I feel to be a lack of "overall leadership". Lot to be said about the last two words in parentheses. Head coach tells us that he is for "continuity", good word. Along with that word I would like to use the other word, "leadership". Must remember this, leadership does not start at the bottom, starts at the top, that is where the problem exists.

Been around the track more than once, I have heard and used "coach speak" many times. There comes a point . . . .

Scooby it's obvious you don't have an accurate understanding of what most fans on this board are looking for. Nobody is saying we want a NC every year or its a failure. Nobody is saying we must win X number of games or its a failure. The consensus is we are tired of seeing the same shortcomings year after year, followed by lame excuses as to why. Having defenses that can't tackle, O-line's that seem to have no idea they are playing football, showing up for games unprepared, defenses looking like deer in headlights before every play. The list goes on and on and all are a product of poor (no) leadership. You could probably read literally thousands of posts discussing complaints about this staff that don't mention championships.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Yes.. instead of framing this as we're a bunch of malcontents that are not satisfied with winning 66% of our games (70-75% when we have a really weak schedule), address the individual complaints.

Individual complaints like identifying a team problem and then being totally unable to fix it for years (special teams play).

Complaints like going into a conservative shell against obviously weak opponents and either losing or coming damn near losing games where the other team shouldn't be in the game.

Complaints like having...literally...an NFL defense (2012) and a weak schedule and still barely cracking the top
20 in scoring defense while getting constantly trucked in the running game.

Complaints like repeatedly not even being able to come out onto the field after a time out and line up properly or
even have the right personnel package on the field... after a time out.

Complaints like calling a timeout on 4th and forever with time running out and not even reminding your d-backs that all they need to do is knock a ball down.

Complaints like putting a priority on recruiting QB's, RB's, and WR's... so many that some of them want to transfer, but all the while neglecting the most important thing you need in the SEC... an O-line.

Complaints about continuing to recruit top 5-6 classes, but performing more like barely a top 20 caliber team.

Don't compare us to Ole Miss, Vandy, Ga Tech.... none of those schools attract the type of recruits that we
do, or have the money that we do (and yes that means something). UGA should be a top 10 program, and we're just not.

It's not results... It's results that come about because of those things listed above and things like sadlerdawg
mentioned. Just taking it down to not being satisfied by 9-10 win seasons isn't a fair way to present it when we here have spent so much time detailing why we are unhappy despite our overall "pretty good" results. In fact, it's kind of insulting to ignore those details we've all pointed out and just point to the 2011 and 2012 records when we had some of the greatest skill players in CFB, a top flight offense and 8 NFL caliber players on defense...and still couldn't make it to just a BCS bowl game.

God Bless and Go Dawgs
