or Auburn.

I admit I am scared of what Malzahn is building.

36869, you have always been truthful to your posted word, whether or not there was agreement. Don't change, know that you won't.

Malzahn is on top right now. Reminds me of urban meyer when he first arrived in Florida. Hit the damn ground running. Much like SS, he put in a system that caught too many of the coaches in our conference off guard.

urban had a history prior to coaching in the SEC. In my opinion, the SEC coaches had their heads up their butts and did not do their due diligence. There was one other thingy, urban knew that TT was going to enroll at Florida regardless of whether or not he moved South. urban knew that Tebow was his key to success in the SEC.

I have seen many SEC coaches do some of the same things that I see professional players do in the NFL, and other sports. They do well, demand the big bucks, get them and then something happens. I refer to some of them as "fat cats". Very easy to get comfortable when you have the "jack" in your pocket, and it is guaranteed. See some of that now.

Malzahn comes in running, just as urban did, little suttle changes to his way of playing football. Malzahn has a history also. Again we have coaches that are not doing their due diligence. Malzahn is running the same offense that he coached in high school. Lots of film out there. One would think that some of our defensive coaches would spend a bit more time in the film room. It is all there to look at. Malzahn is running a basic offense that depends on one thing that has been overlooked by richt . . . . offensive line. The players in Malzahn's offense are playing fast for one reason . . . . Malzahn understands that simplicity is the way to allow his team to "play fast". Some in the coaching ranks never get that through their heads. Turns out it is about me not about the team. I see that, I said that.

TGIF. :)

There's a lesson to be learned from Malzahn that everyone should see....

His offense is simple. A high school offense to be exact. Not really out there fooling anyone at all.

The lesson is that you can run just about any offense and be successful when you have a great O-line.

Give me a monster O-line and I will run the old Wing T and probably win most of my games.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Wart. With players on the O line that can and want to block you can run the ball out of the

Single wing and beat most of the teams that don't want to wrap and tackle

GooseDawg78 wrote: scooby,

Just curious, what level of confidence do you have in our current coaching staff winning the SEC (forget NCs for now, just to keep it simple)?

Personally, my confidence level is about 20% TOPS which means I can see UGA winning the SEC 1 out of every 5 years. Furthermore, since our Dawgs haven't won the SEC Title since 2005, I'd say I am probably TWICE as confident as I should be meaning 10% or 1 out of 10 years is more representative of our past results. I'd venture to guess that some of our members here would say less than 5% confidence with some stating maybe 0% (sad but understandable).

If you are more confident than myself or others, please elaborate as to why? My only hopes on winning the SEC hinge on the fact that we recruit well enough to have players w/sufficient skills to overcome the weak coaching & that our offense is pretty darn good thanks to top flight talent at the RB position & solid depth at WR/QB positions (IF Mason isn't REALLY good, our offense will almost certainly take a step back next season).

Gooooooose.....don't think scooby CARES whether we win SEC/NC's....he/she is happy with 8-10 win seasons. He/she seems non-competitive to me therefore is good with complacency.

willy, you are correct in that I dont really care if uga wins a sec or national championship. I think I stated from the start Im just a casual fan. I will never get to wrapped up in watching other folks do stuff. Its enjoyable to watch competition, but the outcome is really not that important to me. I understand other folks are more into it than me and thats fine, diferent strokes for different folks.

My only reason for posting here to say I dont understand why uga fans are so dissatisfied with MR. Just looking at the numbers he has averaged close to 10 wins a year and just a year ago was one play from winning the SEC and probaly the NC. Also had a team 10 years ago that was close.

I brought up Bama and NS because even though they have been flying high lately they both have been just okay five years ago. Look up their records. Bama went through 12-15 years of being a lot worse than uga has been for the last 12

MR makes a big boy salary and big boy pressure comes with it. If uga is dissatisfied with him by all means send him packing. Just dont be surprised if someone like even Kirby Smart comes in and its not all championships and stuff. Its a competitive league.

Know that traffic has slowed a bit, here and everywhere else. Have a question.

Why is it we don't have any conversation on this board about the upcoming Gator Bowl?

One of my shorter posts. Just asking.
