Same mentality exists now.

You and I both know that to be a fact averagedawg.

Many of the folks on the board only knew VD because of their age. That is not a slant at the members, it just points to simple facts.

VD sat on his butt, just like our present "leader"(?) is doing. Seems they all stick around for the "benefits".

grantham had some things to say and I tried to listen very carefully.

Couple of times in the interview he talks about things that happened in the NFL. Still looking for that time when he can return to the league.

Once he turns to a beat writer and says you guy pretty much take care of that. Referring to players and miscues.

Agrees that the defensive front has been doing the best job on defense this season. New coach teaching the defensive front . . . . just a thought.

Mentions tightening the edges . . . . that was discussed all last week and the game day thread by folks on this board. Are the players not being taught or not listening.

Scratched my head when I read what grantham said below.

"I've not looked at the depth charts in the country, but we've gotta be the youngest team in the country as far as freshmen playing and sophomores playing," Grantham said. "Those guys have gotten better. If we win the Auburn game we're talking about the greatest comeback in Georgia history, (over) a top-5 team, and being able to do the things we were able to do in the fourth quarter."

************

Fourth quarter, what about the other three. Excuses, don't wear cleats.

I agree I am so tired of excuses. I was curious so I looked at some stats on Bama's D. In the last four years opponents have scores over 20 pts 8 times over 30 pts 1 time now compare that to the great TG defense over 20 pts 29 times over 30 points 18 times. But he has his reasons

Not the right players for my scheme
Still learning the system
Playing me ball and not team ball
And now we are young
