There is no doubting you are right about Kirby not heading our way. Some say that the Auburn catch was a miracle, Kirby coming to Athens, far surpasses the Auburn catch as a miracle.
We have Kentucky and Tech left, right now we sit at 6-4. Best we can do I guess is 8-4. If we did not have AM this season . . . . wonder what our record would be? Just agreeing with you a little ogredawg.
All or most of us know that there will not be a wholesale change in Athens, we were close enough in the Auburn game to guarantee the return of everyone. LimeyDawg has a good read in another thread about coaches and money.
Guess the long and short of this current "situation" in Athens lies at the feet of McGarity. Soon he will have to say something because the grantham thing is not going to disappear. richt at this point is being treated the same way that Bowden was, upper management is coasting, thinking matters will take care of themselves. Last time I looked, folks in Washington took the same position on health care alternatives . . . . where are they as we speak?
If we could get someone with the upside of Kirby Smart, wholesale change could and would happen. My best guess is that no one on Mahogany Row is interested at this point. This regime simply lives on "excuses" and "next year".
Guess what I am trying to say ogredawg, we might as well "grin and bear it" probably nothing productive will happen coaching wise until the 2017 Season has come and gone. Only problem with that? The Selection Committee, our history does not show promise in that department.
