I mentioned Saturday how recruits were gonna start lining up for Auburn after this season and here is proof

www.saturdaydownsouth.com/recruiting/cb-...ches-bama-to-auburn/

I know its early and things can change but UGA better do something fast or the Dawgs are going to drop further down the SEC pecking order. Nobody wants to play for coaches that can't admit mistakes and constantly blame the players for their lack of competence. They want to have fun and win ballgames.

McGarity, not making a change soon may have repercussions for years.

Some are wise and some are otherwise !

Not quite sure why you said that wlayton. Are you really in tune with mark richt's personal character, to the point that you can lay it out for everyone?

Getting a bit tired of the same old, same old. Don't need for someone to tell me how much character mark richt has, whether on or off the field. I just as you will be the judge of that.

Do you know more than you read in the AJC or JAX news that you can share?

University of Georgia no longer needs a Bobby Bowden, can attend the church of our choice, or not go at all.

If you'll reread my post, I simply said, "I don't really know the man", do you or anybody here really know him? I'm not judging the man EXCEPT from a coaching standpoint and I'm probably not "really" qualified to do that. We all agree about the lack of coaching acumen but for me, I don't see any need to take it to a personal level on a sports forum.

I have never met him so I have no personal judgement at all....besides, who am I to judge anyway??

That simple.

And pointing out his coaching abilities should be the end to it. I honestly couldn't care less if Richt joined Rob Ford and smoked some crack. If he's an amazing coach, that is all that matters. Too bad he is not and that is the only reason why I want him gone.

With that said, anyone else read this?:

“Obviously at the end of the game, you’ve got to know to knock a ball down in that situation,” Richt said. “We had a timeout prior to that. I’m in there. (Defensive coordinator Todd) Grantham is in there. We’re all in there. I could have easily said, ‘Hey guys, if the ball’s launched deep, bat it down’. I could have said that. That’s a good reminder for our young bunch of guys back there, you know.”

Nobody did, he said.

“I, quite frankly, didn’t think it was time that they were going to launch one,” Richt said.

I don't think it can get any worse.

Did read the article and a couple of others that are on the internet that question the same.

This is the beginning of "Circle the Wagons" . . . . again. Read every blog from now until signing day and we will be told what a "good man" richt is. Bobby Bowden was a good man, he however met his fate. FSU survived, survived with the man that replaced a good man. This is a sports blog, and the rules are clear on this board.

It is clear that coach'em up is not understood by the present group of coaches, richt admits that in the link that Rdawg posted. All situations in football require that the basics are read to the players, been that way for ages. Appears to me we are back to our days in Memphis, Tennessee and UCF all over again. Same head coach, same lack of leadership and knowledge. Keep turning the pages until the year 2017, and that is not guaranteed. President of our University is a richt man, just like his predecessor.

I had not read that article, but I did state days ago that if I had to guess... I would guess that no one reminded our DB's to just bat the ball down.

So now MR confirmed that... that's just choice. Yeah... players should know that, but the entire concept of a sideline huddle is to remind players who are in the heat of the battle of their responsibilities. That's why you have timeouts... that's why the team comes to the sideline.

Game day coaching from this staff...... I'm to the point now where I think we're just flat out incompetent.

Everything about this staff is just jacked up... MR is so hands off the D he probably refuses to say anything even when he knows it needs to be said.

We're just one helluva dysfunctional group, plain and simple.

Make it stop.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

This amazes me. Not the fact that nobody reminded them to knock it down. They're terrible coaches and I was pretty sure they didn't. No, what amazes me is that richt speaks just so nonchalantly and comfortably about making a complete boner that cost the game and he just doesn't seem to care. Obviously these clowns are WAAAAAAAYYY too comfortable with their job security.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!
