If Davis or Scott-Wesley get side by side or in front of a defensive back, maybe only a step . . . . does that not require some serious safety help?
Does that not only open the middle for either a slot receiver or man out of the backfield or a tightend?
Remembering that we have a fullback and tailback that are not average in what they do on the football field.
Sort of brings me back to the offensive line again. If LSU has to help in man, that sure makes the job tougher on the linebackers, both inside and outside.
Going along with AD5 about keeping our "gamer" on the field as much as possible. Gurley. I am hoping that he is 100%, noticed last week against North Texas that he was favoring the leg just a bit. Another reason Gurley will be a great pro, he plays with pain. Comes with carrying the pigskin. Another great back that wore the Red and Black in 1980 played with much pain. Gamers both.
Offensive Line . . . . crossed fingers.
Go Dawgs!
Edit: Watching the video below, reassures me of just how good the members that post here are when discussing football. These two guys get paid, and they should, for what they do. Both seem to be exactly where most of us are . . . . one of those games that are hard to wager on.

AllDawgs5 wrote: Really watched a lot of film last night on lsu. I was impressed, but don't want people getting me wrong. I see where that can be very misleading after looking over my post This is a very winnable game. The D does have to step up though. We have to have a bunch of players step up and maybe play a little above their talent level in some areas.
After watching film, I was more impressed with their d-line than I was their secondary. Believe they have some holes back there. I also believe that Gurley is a gamer. Seems to play better against better teams. That is also a tribute to the o line. See a lot of wanting to get the ball to KM. Maybe if Gurley is tired, or have a few designed plays for KM, but I wouldn't take Gurley off the field much. Seen a lot about establishing the run. I agree, but I would be leaning toward taking a few shots early down the field if I was Bobo. lsu is going to be selling out to stop the run, just like we will. Betting we will see a lot of 1 on 1 matchups early. If we find a way to take advantage, could be scary what our offense ends up doing.
Make no mistakes about it. I expect to win this game. Not going to be ready to wave the white flag on the year if we don't though. We are playing a really, really good football team.
GO DAWGS. Players rising up is what is going to make the difference.
I said it earlier that LSwho is weak over the middle and on cover. If we exploit this I really don't care if Hill gains 200+ and scores 3 TD's. We get them cheating up on Gurley, some short passes or screens and even a sweep or 2 AM will kill them with the TE over the middle, quick slant and speed deep. IF and I do mean IF Bobo calls a game that we all know he is capable of because he has shown me that he can, when he actually thinks about what he is doing and not be playing NOT TO LOSE.....we win this one in a very tough game......

Definitely with you on Mike Bobo being on his game. He has a lot of talent at his disposal. Have to believe that Will Friend made some statements and points in practice this week.
This statement made by AD5 I think carries a lot of water.
Players rising up is what is going to make the difference.
The above statement is what I think I saw in the South Carolina game.

*sigh*
“We’ve got to be happy with three- and four-yard runs and take care of the ball, and if we’ve got to punt, we’ve got to punt,” Bobo said. “We don’t want to punt, but let’s not give them a short field either.”
