Lose this game to the visitors, folks will come out of the woodwork. Not a doubt in my mind. If we lose there will be one or two things that some will point to, and maybe rightfully so. Not too hard to make that prediction, have seen it through every Georgia football team starting with Butts.

We win, which I think we will, not only will we be beside ourselves, the talking heads will jump all over the UGA football team. Gives them (talking heads) a lot of copy to fill the airways with. They will.

What a LSU loss also means is that Urban Meyer and his group move closer to playing in the National Championship. Records, don't be fooled, press is powerful. ESPN is loaded with Ohio State supporters.

So, we have Texas A&M with a loss, Georgia, Florida, LSU, South Carolina, and there are still some games that could add Alabama to this group. The press would love this, and conference strength will mean zero.

Some of the talking heads at this point like to raise the question whether or not the SEC is slipping. To that I say this . . . . could be, but one damn thing is for sure, check the Crystal for the past several years.

Another thingy . . . . Urban Meyer and his group of political supporters took Georgia off of their list of teams to play, and that was a home and home series. I talk a lot about Urban Meyer, but one damn thing for sure, I sit with my back to the wall, and I know a snake when I see one.

Big game for us. Young puppies, give it all that you have and nothing more can be asked. Defense this game might surprise many.

Go Dawgs!

Buc, I started reading your excellent post and then began to comment PRIOR to finishing. I should know better. I was actually about to disagree with you, and then, after I stopped myself from being stupid, I finished reading what you said, and now have to completely reverse course. You are correct.

If LSU wins this game, the SEC will still be seen as a "power conference" because we'll have two unbeatens, and LSU and 'Bama are the two darlings of the conference. The talking heads will HATE that, of course, because they hate the SEC. But they will continue to recognize the (obviously) strongest conference in the land for what it really is - STRONG.

If we win this weekend, just listen to them start running this conference down. "The SEC is finally starting to decline . . . it was inevitable . . . they may not be as strong as we thought . . . look at all those teams with a loss . . . ". The stupidity is amazing. Of COURSE there are a lot of one loss teams in this conference - precisely BECAUSE IT'S THE TOUGHEST CONFERENCE IN THE LAND!!!!! That's what we've all been saying all along!!!!! Listen to Buc! He's right - not many have the intestinal fortitude to schedule home and aways with us, because the risk is too great - Vandy and Kentucky excepted, of course.

Listen, talking heads, nobody in the SEC "cheers" for the other teams in the conference. We hate each and every other team. But we have to stick together as a conference because WE ARE ALL WE'VE GOT! For YEARS everyone got a shot at national championships, except our conference. We were always thought of as a weak conference, even WITH Alabama in it. We had to put up with being treated like the ACC is treated now. And it didn't stop all that long ago - witness an undefeated Abuurn not getting a shot at the crystal ball. Don't get us wrong - we hate Abuurn and had a good laugh at their expense that year. But it made everyone one in the conference mad because we knew that that COULD HAVE and WOULD HAVE been OUR team, if we had gone undefeated that year too.

So now we've finally gotten some recognition, that MAYBE, just MAYBE someone outside of California, Texas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio knows how to play football. Pardon us if we show some conference UNITY - something we actually hate to do - but it's NECESSARY, because if we DON'T, our teams can go undefeated and not even get a CHANCE.

Sorry. A little long winded. But it feels good to get that off my chest. Now go DAWGS - KILL LSU.

Whoever stops the run, will win the game......that bothers me.

We had better "man up".

This LSU defense is not nearly as good as the ones of lore. They have faced no one. Auburn moved the ball pretty well and they have crap for talent right now.

spot on KD. I will not be surprised if we score often on them. Right play calling will exploit their weaknesses and there are many.........

Most teams in college football are no different than the NFL. Change one or two things, win some football games, everyone piles on.

Urban Meyer brought his brand of football to the South and had some fun with it . . . . for a while. SEC figured it out and we know that Meyer got "sick" and left. As has been said, Meyer left Florida and the mess he left is still being dealt with. What he has done on the new job is take what he learned while in the South, incorporated it into the way his new team plays. Hard for me to get the name of the school out in a sensible thought.

With the ESPN "Goofies" . . . . not the one at Disneyland, the ones that will be in Athens on Saturday, national television and the Athens crowd, emotions will run high.

Speaking of emotions, that will probably be what decides the game between the Hedges. Hoping that AM can get his heart rate down before the second half. If so, we might fool some folks.

Go Dawgs!

Edit: Expecting a lot of penalty flags in the game, both teams are going to "bring it". Georgia scrimmaged on Monday, believe that lets us know where the coaches are at. Puppies were not playing tag football.

Edit #2: Picked the following paragraph up from Marc Weiszer. Some have probably noticed that I have been on Kublanow's page since high school. Said it and I believe it, he is nasty, strong and LSU game is the right place for this Dawg. Foundation of the future. JMHO

Georgia’s rotation on the offensive line with players moving to different spots has faded as roles have become more defined. Offensive line coach Will Friend said that Kolton Houston is playing strictly right tackle now. He started at left guard against South Carolina, but freshman Brandon Kublanow saw his first college action Saturday and is Dallas Lee’s backup now at left guard. Watts Dantzler got about 20 snaps at right guard.
