UGA Football Supporter or . . . .?

Seems to me that we have gotten closer to Alabama. Think most would agree with that. Still far enough away to be underdogs, maybe further than five yards or closer . . . . Also seems to me that we (UGA) can believe or make believe that we are closing the gap.

This incoming class could have much to do with how far UGA moves up in 2013. Maybe more so than previous classes. If we get some of the young players that we are wishing for, Georgia could can make great strides in the SEC.

My belief is that Laremy Tunsil will wear the Red and Black. I also think that LT is the one player that can move our program forward quicker than others that we want so badly. LT could probably start for Alabama by the end of the year. When LT comes to Athens, he is our starting left tackle. Have read other boards that are saying that Theus will move from right to left, ain't going to happen.

There are of course some that I would like to see sign on with the defensive side. Still think that we have so much talent in Athens that it might surprise all of us just how good our defense will be in 2013.

There are also some of the "talking heads" that say the UGA offense will be all that this season. Hope they are right. This is what I think and maybe know . . . . Just because we are going to have what some are saying is a top 10 offensive team in the nation, let us not again drop our guard. We have done that in the past, most of the time it was on the front, not the running backs, receivers or quarterback.

If we truly want to be on the level of Alabama, we must have a offensive line. This is where I think, hope that our leaders have grown up. Saban knows, look at the results.

Kublanow will play in 2013, after that if he stays healthy, he will put smiles on all of our faces and will end up in the NFL.

There is a lot to talk about, watching the board, have come to the conclusion that many boards have the same problem . . . . when the college football season is over, like bears, many hibernate. Some can only talk about what they see from week to week in the season, that is pretty easy. Others wait for some to start a thread and either tear it apart or explain why their view is better for all of us in the long run.

Board will light up when we get closer to the February date, then it will get quiet again. Will light up for the Spring and then the 2013 Season.

Steve, would love to see you let some folks in here that have wanted to participate for a while.

There are many excellent posters here that for some reason prefer to read, rather than speak. What is wrong with posting what one thinks will benefit UGA football and share that with all of the board members. Damn, thoughts count.

Quite frankly, if those that are here have nothing to say, understand. Maybe folks like me should do likewise. There is a hell of a lot more to UGA football than being a know-it-all during the season. Apparently some that call themselves supporters are of the silent type.

If I pissed you off, good. If you agree, welcome. Being a UGA Football Fan is more than giving a couple of opinions during the season and then doing the "Bear Thingy".

Go Dawgs, Red and Black, Silver Brithches, Russ with Color . . . . Coach'em up!!

Checking back on the thread. Notice that there have been 35 hits, not one comment. Silence is Golden. My bet is that the hits come from GATA.

Amazes me that the group that is here can only comment on what the AJC, or others have to say. Folks, they don't know any more about football, or haven't been on the Campus in Athens near as much as you and I. They are privy becuase they get to speak out in the media and have those press passes.

You like football in season, right? Come up and tell everyone here what we should do during the season. No thoughts on how we can improve, or what if we get this player or lose one that we wanted. If you live in the State of Georgia, do you not keep up with the players, outside of the hype that comes from those that want us to believe that they know more than we do. Check the AJC out right now, nothing has changed, still running the same things that they were privy to two weeks ago.

Look, beginning to get a bit disgusted, might be time to look inward folks. Fair weather friends, or can there only be discussion when the media lays it out for us . . . .

Hard for me to believe that the folks that I know are here and nothing to be said for the upcoming recruits. Guess we need "others" to tell us what is going on with Georgia Football. If you feel I am wrong, don't be like the 34 "look and see folks" . . . . give this board something to talk about.

Buc,
I am one of the ones that due more reading than posting. Just speaking for myself I'm not privileged to be in the circles and know the people that others on this board including yourself do. I am just as big of fan and have just as many opinions as any it's just that I'm not a big poster. I want to say that I appreciate each and every member on this board that does post because without them I would not have the incite of what's going on inside of UGA football and would have to rely on just the media outlets.

As you know, I mostly read. The post are viral meaning they spread to many other boards plus Facebook.

Our quality of conversations is the best on the Internet and it is no mystery why others follow as we lead.

I am going to open the board this spring for more members.

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

I'm similar to ogredawg....plus a little busy and not running across much info lately.

Certainly agree (and pray) that Theus is NOT a LT.....if I'm AM I'm hitting my knees on two fronts.....1. that the coaching staff keeps Theus at RT and 2. that Tunsil wears the Red/Black soon.

Barring injuries, our offense will be lights out, top 10 easy....maybe top 5. Believe they can average 40+ per game, even with a tougher schedule.

Also agree with you Buc that our upcoming "no name" D could very well surprise us. These young men will come in hungrier than their predecessors and will feel like they have much to prove....they will be very motivated, imo.
