Reviewing the 2012 season

Well I agree they did all that, but I have to be honest and say
I would be happier if the result was winning the SEC championship and/or not getting blown out by the old ball

Not going to deny that.

Plus... the coaches coaching well and the players playing hard is expected behavior. That's the beginning of the journey, not the destination.

If anyone thinks this is me being negative or talking out of both sides of my mouth, then they should call me out and I'll
reply directly. (not that anyone has been referring to me when they talk about continued negativity and such, just sayin...)

Gets a bit tougher when I see some of the same garbage being repeated. The team that played in Athens this season was special.

So Alabama ripped Georgia for all of that yardage, one thing for the folks that talk the game but don't understand the game, want everyone that follows Georgia to think they know, and they have everything but a remedy. Building what Alabama has is not like going through the fast food lane at McDonald's, and I believe that we are on the path to being competitive, again.

What is going on is a game that can be played at any age. I call it building blocks. This group in Athens is doing just that, and to be as "old as the hills" . . . . Rome was not built in a day.

Too much of Mark Richt's years in Athens is controlling what some think. Mine at one time. Richt grew up folks when McGarity came to Athens, and said simply . . . . get the job done.

Call the teams we have played powder puffs or whatever, that was the damn schedule. Anyone that played the game knows that you know who your competition is the following week, and sometimes it allows unusual outcomes.

Look at UGA, go over the 2012 schedule, we played according to our competition. Alabama was a pretty competitive team, I think, would not call them a powder puff team. All I gather from the media across the nation is that it was one whale of a game. Some folks just don't understand, never have, never will.

Buc, it really pisses me off when i see people saying we had an easy schedule, especially the esperts on espn. i mean sure our schedule didnt have 5 top 20 teams in it, but Georgia plays in the SEC. The people who say we have an easy schedule need to go ask some other SEC teams that lost games, go ask Florida i bet they thought they had the game in JAX in the bag, didnt turn out that way, i seem to remeber on college gameday where every single one of those "experts" picked against us. like you said we played according to our competition. Any of those games could have been lost, year in and year out no one ever truely knows who is going to be the great teams in our conference. who would of though that Florida would have only lost one game this year and be in the top 5, i sure didnt. It goes to show that no matter what a team does there will always be some nay sayers who will love to find an excuse in what another team accomplishes. sorry for the rant guys.

BullDawg2010, I am notorious for keeping logs and what folks say on this board. I am going to copy your last post and put it in my archives. I was not necessarily talking about ESPN and the media, think we get some of that "home cooking" right here. Just saying.

Saved some things over the years that make me wonder sometimes. Say it again, some on blogs are just hard asses and that can not be changed. Always worth taking a look back at those that copy what others say and then use it when they post.

This was and is a team (2012) that won more games than they lost. Those that have a problem with that, I say this . . . . Mark Richt did not make the schedule. If you work at McDonald's, you don't make the schedule either.

Anyone in disagreement, here is the place to post it. Anyone that wants the entire Coaching Staff fired, the Athletic Director fired, step up, come out from the bushes. Anyone still want to belly ache about the 2012 team that played their butts off, post it here. Don't hide behind one well played football game. Last damn time I looked, we lost two football games. Also remember the scared asses on this board that said we would not beat Florida. Some went further and said we would have a losing season. Step up. If you are scared, just say so.
