growl, appears that the line most accept is a 3 point spread in favor of UGA. If Missouri is not rated near the top 10 or so . . . . . UGA is sitting in the #7 ranking, what does that say about the rating system. Takes me back again to the Alabama/Michigan game. Alabama at that time ranked #2 and I think Michigan was #8 or something like that. What it says to me is simply this . . . football is played on the field, ratings generally put money in the pockets of the media. Just saying . . .

Players and coaches come prepared, team with the most talent usually makes or beats the point spread. Here is hoping that Mark Richt has this 2012 UGA Edition ready to play.

When I attended UGA, there used to be a bar across from Russell where the bartender, a very, very funny guy named Barry (I think...memory fading now) used to prophesy that whoever scored first in any game with UGA would win. Of course, his theory has been debunked numerous times over the years, but one thing that hold true in 90% plus of all games is that the best prepared team wins.
I don't believe, regardless of what I may personally feel about any of our players or coaches, is that we will play Missouri unprepared. The Buffalo game showed and told so little about our Dawgs that I give no weight whatsoever to the outcome of that game in relation to how we will play the Tigers. Yeah, I'd like watching the Dawgs blow people out week to week, but to be honest, there's a better afterglow after a tough, hard won win. Like I mentioned in another post, if we won every game by one point, we still win. If we beat Missouri by 1 or 20, I'll be happy. I'm pretty sure I'll be happy on Sunday.

Looking around for opinions or differing opinions on the Missouri game. The following is a copy and paste from Buck Belue's blog. Any thoughts, I have a couple.

Best I can tell, we're 1-2 on these recent trips to strange places. Won in Tempe. Lost in Stillwater. And lost in Boulder. Now comes Columbia and a visit to the 'Zou, otherwise known as Memorial Stadium, which seats over 71,000.
Let me go ahead and guess that the 'Zou will be more than a little bit crazy at KO. And you already know how to quiet the crowd...hit them quick. Jump out to an early lead and keep the hammer down.
So, how do the 'Dogs come back home with a monster win? I've got a 3-Step Win Plan.
1- Grantham's Defense needs one of these DL to step up! Disrupt the run game. Pressure & sack QB James Franklin. Dominate their individual match-up. Cornelius Washington...now would be a great time to Hunker Down. Ray Drew...time to play ball. Garrison Smith...are you a impact guy? Abry Jones...show these NFL scouts who is boss. Kwame Geathers...dial up a huge game.
Grantham probably won't be able to play much man coverage, because of how thin we are at CB/DB AND QB James Franklin's running/scrambling ability. Need to "Spy" this guy. Underneath man coverage would allow Franklin to pull it down and run with it (normally, no one on QB in man coverage). Probably a lot of base 3-4 and Nickel. Another reason why one of the DL need to deliver a big game performance.
2- The 'Dogs Offense needs to hurt these guys with the big play. Score 40-plus. Lean on Aaron Murray. Depend on him to deliver some big throws downfield. Tavarres King...go get a few. Rantavious Wooten...hurt them with some big plays. Marlon...where are you? Chris Conley...need some big catches. Michael Bennett...need some 3D & RZ catches. Jay Rome...now is the time! Isolate Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley in the passing game too.
Not saying don't run Gurley. Mix that in too.
3- Limit the specialists. Marshall Morgan looked a little shaky against Buffalo. Don't need him kicking a lot of FG's in Columbia. Go for it on 4th down some. Don't need Colin Barber punting a lot in Columbia either. Convert on 3rd down!

Think we need to play exactly the way one of their defensive lineman said we play, old man possession football, get the rock and keep it, as long as the running game is working use it, pass the ball to the TE's and FB's like we've wanted to see for a while now, and play SEC defensive smash mouth football. Get ahead and dont take the foot off the accelerator CMB. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!GATA

The sun shines on a different Dawg every day

Seems a little pass happy to me. I would like to grind it out more. On D would like a steady diet of blitz's.
