There's another philosophy I like much better... Show them a 100 different things and they have no idea which ones to prepare for, and you get to run those choices in a live game
situation.

I heard on the post game show Saturday many mentions of UGA being on the losing end of opponents "signature wins". The Missou game definitely falls into this category. Time to stop this Bulldogs. Time for other teams to be intimidated and feared by UGA, not looking forward to beating us.

Just sayin'.

This defense is a very prideful defense,” senior defensive end Cornelius Washington said. “We live on dominating people. And that’s what we’re gonna go out (this) week and try to do

Regardless of the reason for our performance this weekend, whether it was due to poor coaching and/or poor player performance, or whether it was due to GENIUS coaching and BRILLIANT playing (which it was IF we were just trying not to "tip our cards" to Missouri), we will find out this coming weekend.

I sure hope the entire team, from top to bottom, was just "looking ahead" to Mizzou. I sure hope the coaches are as crafty and filled with guile as many are suggesting, including the article Buc posted.

One thing is certain. The coaches know. If they were just "holding back" for this coming weekend, then they are TRULY coaching GIANTS, as they didn't tip their hand AT ALL!!!! They showed Missouri nothing, because they showed US nothing, and anything we do will be a shock.

If, however, that is not the case, then the coaches know that too. And they are sitting there, knowing that we are about to get it handed to us.

I prefer the former. I fear the latter.

I would pound the rock with Gurley. Saw a lot of praise for him, and it was well deserved. The youngster is going to be a stud if he can stay healthy. O-L has been questioned a lot in the last few years. A lot of it deserving, but we havent really had a back that runs through arm tackles. We found one now. Don't be afraid to put a saddle on him.

As far as what Bobo did, I am not that disappointed in it. SS became famous for not being afraid to run the same plays over and over again. I don't blame either of them. Has Buffalo stopped the screen pass yet because they sure didn't on Sat. See talk about trying to utilize the fb. He did, and we had Samuel wide open with plenty of green behind him. AM overthrew it. Believe I even saw a pass in the direction of Hicks. Hall had a nice trap on a 3rd and short. Can't say Bobo wasn't trying to use the FB because he did. No one is going to use them much more than that, and he probably would have, had the situation (short yardage, goal line, etc.) called for it.

I too wish I would have seen the TE used a little more. However, I don't know if he had designed plays to them and AM just aired it out. Not going to bash AM either because the deep ball was open pretty much all game. I even liked the double pass. Players love stuff like that, and it was there. Let the felllas have a little fun.

Scored 45 and could have easily been 60 with the plays that were called. Can't be that bad in my opinion.

Defense must improve. I noticed a lot of young pups getting some significant playing time. Yes, Buffalo did score 23 more points than I thought they should. However, looking back at it now, I am happy we got a lot of younger guys some valuable reps. I will take a 22 point W with all the youth that we got on the field. Lets just make sure that Sat was a learning experience.

To me the keys for this game are going to be JJ and KG. Need dominance from those 2 as well as MG and Tree. If we can stop the inside running game on the read option, frees up a lot of athletes to contain Franklin. I expect a lot more pressure that what I saw Sat. I believe we have to make Franklin one dimensional with his arm. If we can eliminate the run, I believe he will throw a few to our guys.

Offensively, nothing wrong with "old man football" Get 3 the ball often and let him wear on them. Marhsall is a nice change of pace. Passing game, I am generally ok with the play calling. Just need to make sure we are reading it right AM. You don't have to hit the homerun on every pass. See what is in front of you.

Special teams better have the antenna's up early. Probably the most important game all year for the special teams. Get them ready.

GO DAWGS
