Can't look past New Mexico State now...

Wartdawg could not agree more. This line from you is as close as we will ever get to being all that we want to be.

There are lessons here to be learned that might require short term pain for long term gain.

Edit: As far as the punishment that is metted out, that has to be looked at from priors. First thing a judge does on the bench is read the rap list. That can make a huge difference in what the man wearing the robe has to say to the offender.

I really think the disappointment is greater at this moment, but believe me..I've had a lot of the other one as well. I don't really want to say a whole lot because it's already been said by many, and I don't want to be typing a lot of curse words.

I will say one thing: As I contemplated the 37 different negatives regarding the current situation, a 38th dawned on me. A quick check of some sources confirmed that the Uf crowd is having a field day with this. That's basically saying this idiotic self inflicted black eye is almost like letting the UF folk off the hook for the pain they should be suffering still today.

Wart....UF fans are "grasping at straws".....they always look for any excuse to make themselves look and feel better. They certainly have no reason to pick up a stone with 25-30 arrests in recent history.

of course every1 was excited that we signed the #1 RB in the country.....who would not be.....does not matter where he "comes" from.....it is where he is going and how is he going to get there....all three deserve what they are now getting and we can argue that they deserve more but it is not up to us....we all know CMR has morales and I truely believe that if he had known about this prior to UF the 3 would not have made the trip.....if he had been "ordered" to cover it up I think he would have resigned rather than lie.....just MHO.....

I believe that each school sets its own policy on drug violations or positive tests. The NCAA nor the SEC has any say in the matter. Each school also sets its own limit on number of positive drug tests before you can be dismissed from the team. Not sure what UGA's is, but I do know it is five times at FU!

Not certain you have lost the debate southernlover. Just come with something more solid to support your "holier than though" stance and why you would have still played these kids if it meant winning a big game. I posed a question that could have helped you in this discussion.

For what it's worth, I hope Harton blows up this game and goes for about 160 and has these three feeling uneasy about their position on the depth chart. This kid worked hard all year, earned a scholarship and now gets a shot. Those are the DGD we need and I would be happy with him taking reps away from the gunja kings for the rest of the season once they return.

Reading many of the comments over there, the concerns seem to be folks were glad that it happened now, not before the Auburn game. I guess it is all about winning with a large percentage of the supposed "Dawg Faithful". Getting too damn old, hard for me to accept, no . . . . can't accept some of the trash that is being spewed by many so called Dawg faithful.

At some point, some one is going to get the young pups attention. My fingers are crossed that McGarity is the man.

“We have certain standards in all that we do and their actions do not reflect the Georgia way,” Richt said in a statement released by UGA Sports Communications on Tuesday afternoon. “They will serve their suspensions, learn a lesson and I’m sure will be better men for it.”

I have purposely laid off of the coaching staff recently, sorry the bold type above is the "Company Line". Probably will throw a monkey wrench into the thread with this but . . . the defense was turned over to Grantham and his crew, the offensive side stayed the same, with the exception of Friend. Did not see a single defensive name on the latest round of rule breakers. Suspensions on that side of the ball were handed out by the SEC for "defending" themselves on the field of battle. Wonder if coaching or lack of coaching discipline plays out as this has too often.

Thought when I awoke this morning that I would calm down a little, has not happened, might be in a worse mood than when I retired last night. Don't know fellows, something is not right with the management of UGA football. Again, McGarity step up.

Edit: Forgot about Washington, strike one on the D side.

Buc, #2, Williams....don't believe he was "defending himself".....get your point though.

As far as IC as a running back, who will know his name 10 years from now. Herschel Walker is still remembered . . . why . . . . because he was a MAN OF PRINCIPLE and also true to UGA.
Sorry Buc but Herschel is remembered for winning a Heisman trophy and the only NC for UGA in the last 30 years in addition to arguably being the best athlete to ever come out of the southeast. This is a man who recently on ESPN said "I wanted to quit football and join the military so I could KILL people". Also got a lot of ink at the age of 48 for saying he wanted to fight Steve Spurrier.

A lot of the criticism heaped on IC now are from the sames ones who were ecstatic when he signed last February. Everyone knew where he was from and what he was about but didn't see a single post saying "hold on a minute, we shouldn't sign this guy".
Hmmmmmmm....
