Can't look past New Mexico State now...

wlayton, saw that block that you speak of. Guess we just viewed the block differently. Have to say this, all of us can protect any player that we have special feelings for. Understandable. Not going to continue to talk about IC and what it is he is doing or what he is not doing. Have never said that IC does not have talent, I am not really stupid, I just don't like what I am seeing out of a young fellow that is showing such contempt to the University of Georgia and those of us that support UGA.

Here is hoping that he turns out to be the star that you and the rest of us know he has the talent to be. Personally, not going to stand by his way of doing things. If I had my choice right now, he would be finished for the year, unless as Richt says, he has turned over a new leaf. Words to that effect. Also appears to me that he does not like contact. Playing in the wrong conference if that is the case. Base that statement of what I have seen thus far.

Buc, I totally with you about IC. There is ZERO tolerance for the way he has started his time at UGA and if he slips one more time he should be kicked off the team. I'm in the same boat with you and every other person on this forum about IC.

I was not pointing out the block because I'm partial to IC......if you remember, the TV announcers even said the same thing. I don't know the guy and I was just one of the first posters to bring him up a year or so ago. No different than what may go on with D. Henry.

Go back and look at that play.....AM never would have gotten that pass off without that block, the UF player was 2 feet from him and AM hadn't even cocked his arm yet.

Don't misunderstand me, IC had better straight his ship up, it's sinking right now.

Simply, a lot of players made one or two plays that helped win that game.....IC did make one....and a big one.

I don't doubt your love for the University, and I know that you are as wrapped up in the football and some of the other sports that myself and many others on this board are.

There is still a huge amount of frustration among those of us that support the team and are reaching out for options to change what we see as a hindrance to UGA football. For example, the other sports, one being swimming, almost like Alabama in their domination year after year not just in the SEC, but nationally. Don't hear a lot of ruckus going on, just hard work, honor the scholarship and the University that saw fit to award that special chance at a degree.

Many times and we all know this, the larger the sport the "larger" the heads and egos become. Somewhere along the way, the virtues of Tommy Lyons playing football and receiving a Rhodes Scholarship for his efforts and character need to be revisited. While all are not going to get those types of awards, there has to be a genuine acceptance of virtue versus value.

While football brings many dollars into the till, the exposure of the participants and their actions do great harm to the University of Georgia. I have preached this all of my life, team play, whether you are on the football field or work in an office or mow grass (oops).

Saw IC throw both forearms into the rushers shoulder pads, stop them anyway we can. He will be tested against Auburn and Georgia Tech. Maybe he steps up, can't slip any more, too many eyes are on the kid and his chance at celebrity.

Said in another post that I believe what we are seeing from Jarvis Jones and maybe a couple of others is what has been missing in the locker room for far too long. Those that care will step up and slam folks against lockers and get their attention one way or another. I think that Jarvis Jones might be the one person that can get IC's "total" attention. Both come from basically the same backgrounds. Even Jarvis had a bit of a problem with supposedly stepping outside of the NCAA guidelines. Look at the way he has responded to the negative talk . . . . manned up.

Interesting developement of Jarvis. After the opener against Boise and his helmet "coming off" 20+ times I was thinking he was more of a "me" player looking to get his face on tv. Certainly felt he could have buckled it up a little tighter. Glad to see he's a leader and hopefully committed to staying another year or two...

Think that the attachment pretty much sums it up for me. My gator friends (I think) are not real excited about the attachment, maybe this will have something to do with folks going to the air show.
