Many people however, do grow out of it. Some don't and yes you can point out to some high profile
examples but there are tons of people who smoked some grass in high school and college, but moved
on to productive non drug using lives.

Let's give him a chance. A short leash, but a chance. I'm not going to say he's on a downward
spiral.. I'm going to say he's at a crossroad.

Perfect assessment on IC. Believe the "jury trial" should be dis-assembled for a little while.

After re-reading my own post, I can see how you might think I'm already judging IC. Let me correct that. I hope things work out for the best for the kid, and I will concede to anyone that there has to be hope for anyone, especially where substance abuse is involved. I was once a NADSAP officer (Navy Alcohol and Drug Safety Awareness Program), after all. My point is this: I hope for IC that this is just a one time "young kid experimenting" thing and that he will quickly get past it. Wartdawg is correct that many people do. Maybe even most.

It's just been my observation that, physically addictive or not, the success rate for quitting cold turkey doesn't appear high - ONLY my OWN observation though. wlayton, you are right about the jury - I won't be on that one even if it eventually convenes.

Certainly wasn't singling you out thriller, was just making that comment in general. Right or wrong, we all seem to jump to judgement pretty quickly.

Oh and bulldog 36 etc, I love stanger's info and connections and he's a great asset to the forum but nobody but CMR and the school REALLY knows exactly the sequence of events.

Not a question of sequence.

Both AJC and Macon have said all 3 tested positive for drugs
stanger says that is not true according to his sources. No slight at all against Stanger but either his source or the news sources are not telling the truth.

Mark Richt blasts accusation that UGA selectively suspended running backs
ATHENS – A couple more things on these running back suspensions and then we’ll move on to the next thing for Georgia football.

Georgia coach Mark Richt addressed the situation for the first time during the SEC Coaches Weekly Teleconference on Wednesday. Here’s what he had to say:

Richt took umbrage with the accusation that Georgia knew about the positive drug tests for Isaiah Crowell, Ken Malcome and Carlton Thomas before the Florida game and put off their suspensions until this week’s game against New Mexico State:

Some are wise and some are otherwise !

Uh.....we're saying the same thing......WHO knows the REAL truth?? I'll bet CMR, McGarity and Adams knows.

If he smoked "spice" or whatever and the NCAA doesn't suspend him let him play. If he was in trouble before the UF game and they delayed the suspension I don't care. None of you can honestly tell me you would have traded a win against Florida for a suspension of our starting running back with Samuels history of underachieving.

You my friend are wrong, and not making a valid point. We have needed IC all season, where has he been? He was huge in JAX, right . . . .

Buc, want to address your last sentence about IC not doing much or helping much in Jax. I just watched the game again just as you said you had many times lately. IRONICALLY, IC played a HUGE part in winning this game......let me explain.

We were down 17-3 and recovered a fumble right before halftime. It was the first TD pass on the 4th and 5. IC at the last second picked up THE block on a DL (hit him high so he wouldn't go over him and still hit AM) that LITERALLY allowed AM to even make the throw. Without that block there is NO doubt AM would have been sacked and we go into halftime down 17-3.

I know what you are saying about IC in the game (took himself out etc etc, did have 81 yards though) and DO agree with you......just after reviewing the game again (go back and look at that play) if IC doesn't pick up that block AND block him high, Murray had zero chance of getting it off.

Again, understand you totally but there have been other posts that have said he did NOTHING in the game so I found it quite IRONICAL he may have actually helped in winning the game. Very similar to the OL that picked up the block around the 2-3 yardline in the Lindsay Scott TD pass back in '80, not many remember that block but if he hadn't made it Belue would have been sacked and the game was OVER.
