What happened to the East?

Yeah the cfn write up mirrors what many of us here have already said...

Pretty darn weak competition to be getting all giddy about the 4 game win streak if you look
past just the end result. The issues that have caused us concern since day 1 of the season
haven't really gone away. We still see them every single week, even when we do get the W.

I especially like what was pointed out by the fact that during our 4 game win streak, our
offensive ranking has dropped from 55th to 57th in the nation: Hardly what anyone would
call real progress. We've won our games because of lights out defense, against mostly less
than stellar offenses.

We should have beaten SC, but even at 5-1 those that delve into the details would still
be concerned.

Correct me if I'm wrong,but, did'nt UGA win the National Championship because of defense THE JUNKYARD DAWGS. Who cares if you win out with defense? Sure we all want to see great offense,but,how many teams have both at the same time(alabama,lsu) this year? Look what happened to florida? QB down, no offense,but, the D also went south on them to boot. I cant remember who said it this past weekend,but, it was pointed out that UM left the gaytors with a track team to play football,but you still gotta get them the ball. It's simple keep em from scoring or score a lot, and right now we are better at keeping them off the scoreboard. Hopefully we'll keep it up. GO DAWGS! GATA! SIC EM

Wartdawg, from what I see coming down, we have a better chance of winning in JAX. We should not fool ourselves however, that bunch will get after you.

On offense, they are fast, real fast. When their running backs hit the corners, it is the same thing we see with IC. Looks like he is in for a short gain, turns out to be a bit more than that.

Apologize to the board, know that I should not be looking past Vanderbilt. For those of us that are UGA folks living in Florida, it has become a sore spot. I have had enough, at some point, some year, the bunch from Athens have to win on a "neutral field". This game is one that the networks love to have on their schedule, regardless of team records, game is watched nationally.

Realize that I wavered a bit, win in Nashville, get ready for a serious fist fight in JAX.

And it WILL be a fight Buc......should be a "pick um".

Dawg fans need not be fooled by UF's last 2 games.

Growl.. I've got no problem winning out with defense.

I've got no problem with a passable offense being carried by a crushing defense. How we win
isn't important. Just win baby is what it's about.

However, an accurate analysis of the offense is still an accurate analysis of the offense.
Being that Richt's strength is supposed to be offense, everyone is going to look at it.
There will probably come a time when the offense has to win a game for us, not just "not
lose it" for us.

You are so right Wartdawg. I have been,and still am, confident that the ol will step up and give us some "good" blocking. However, the catalyst to carry them that far has'nt happened yet. It wont happen against a team that we beat often and convincingly, although I hope the OL is up to handling folks that they should against Vandy. I firmly believe the best games are going to be post Vandy starting with the gaytors. I have no reason to believe that this is the way it will happen ,except ,the OL is due and florida is as good a place as any to start a good STOMPING. I am not looking past Vandy, but, that should be a win so GATA! GO DAWGS! SIC EM
