What happened to the East?

What happened to the East? was created by Rdawg
I am sitting here watching Florida get ran over by LSU. If they can't stop the run, Florida might as well walk home now.

With that said, why did the east become such a flake for the SEC? I feel like the the ACC can come and roll over anyone in the east. Richt must be the luckiest guy to be given this setup for the year.

I also watched the BSU Fresno game last night. I still don't know how they beat us. At least the rest of the nation is giving reason for them NOT to go to the championship game.

Rdawg, watched the game last night and am watching UF/LSU now.

As much as I hate to say it, Muschamp is willing to take a chance, some in this conference are not.

Tonight will either tell or explain what many of us want to know about UGA football.

Posted last evening that Richt seems ready to take a chance or two. We will see, opportunities will present themselves in Knoxville tonight.

Lucky or not, Richt better bring home the bacon, will not have a schedule like this for some time.

It's SEC East Championship or bust. We don't win the East, Richt's gone. We don't beat Florida, Richt's gone THE NEXT DAY a la Ron Zook in 2004, after getting Croomed by a different set of Bulldogs.

Red and Black, Win or Lose

I understand what you are saying dapolla, but a tie for a 1st in SEC east with SC and win over UF will allow CMR to keep his job. SC has several tough games coming up and we need to win every game.

We have the easiest road to ATL for east teams. Starts tonight with win over TN and beatdown of UF. TN & UF will have at least 2 losses. SC has UF & TN left. We must take care of business.

I can't say that I agree with earlier post of east being that much weaker. West has two superior teams in UA and LSU. Rest in the conference are about the same. Just my opinion.

But I will say that whoever from east goes to ATL will get whacked from winner of west. Will be watching that game for sure.

The SEC East shipped all of the talent to the NFL where it is doing pretty well ( Minus that fullback Tebow).

It's cyclical. In the late 90s/early 2000s people said the same thing except the roles were reveresed and it was the east that was stacked with Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia that were a notch above everybody else. Remember, since the SEC went to a championship game format, the east has been the dominant division up until about 4 years ago. We'll be back. We still hold the overall edge in SEC championships 11-8
