I will wonder one thing though: On that kick to win it where we had AM take a loss. It was 2nd a 7. Would have been a 39 yarder. So you decide to back it up with na three yard loss for a kicker who is struggling. If so, why even bother to run it on first down?
If we wanted to keep it in the middle of the field, I would have lined up in the power I and given a quick handoff up the middle to my FB three staright times. Even if we get 2 yards out of that, a 40 yarder would have been better than a 42 yarder.
I'm sorry, but we didn't bring any plays for the FB (or the TE). Those pages were
apparently ripped out of our playbook so it wasn't a realistic option.

Welcome back BS, good to see you posting again.
On a lighter thought.....the way we were running the ball and losing yardage on almost every running play, you were right when you said we should have kicked on 1st down.
39 carries/51 yards......awesome running game, huh?......the OL regressed back to the 1st of the season.

Our offensive game planning and execution gets worse in direct proportion to the amount of
time we give Mike Bobo to prepare our boys on that side of the ball. Our two worst offensive
games were the two where we had the most time for Bobo to coach them [strike]up[/strike] down.

Maybe the incoming linemen and especially the incoming running backs will be a needed improvement over some of the things that we have seen this season. Still think that there is going to be a turnover of player personnel this off season. SEC football is not for the faint of heart.
BulldogShannon, hoping that we line someone up at the fullback position that actually gets to carry the ball. That however would require a different offensive coaching staff. Would also change the way some of these teams scheme for UGA Football. Heaven forbid . . . our offensive coaching staff does not like change.

Possibly wlayton... it happens.
I'm pretty sure back after the Boise game when I was railing on our game plan for that
game, I made the comment that what we did was outsmart ourselves with the game plan.
I have also noted many times that I hate that our entire offense sits back on their
heels as they look to the sidelines waiting for the call until there are 5 seconds
left on the play clock. We do that a lot. When we do, the D can jump our snap because
we've telegraphed that we will be snapping the ball when they play clock hits 1.
It also doesn't give our O-linemen a chance to dig those feet in... they are just
getting reset in the down position when the ball is hiked. I don't mind doing it some
as a change of pace when you catch the D with a bad match up on the field.. you can
sometimes prevent them from changing personnel and you can exploit the match ups.
I don't however like it nearly as much when it's almost your standard offense.
