AllDawgs5 wrote: Exactly my point Sadlerdawg. Good coaches lose games they shouldn't. I am not saying Richt is a great coach. I think he is a good coach. I give an example, after the usc game, we managed to rip the coaches, same pattern after every loss. The offense scored 42 pts against a pretty good defense. Somehow, it was the play calling and coaches fault. Then, look at how we lost. How do you coach against those mistakes. Saban couldn't do it last year against au. No coach can.
My point is, every week it is a Richt and staff bashing. It doesn't even matter if we won the game. Have the coaches deserved some ripping? You bet they have. Have the earned all the bashing I have seen. No. I am pretty sure if they ran out of gatorade on the sideline, some would blame Richt.
Am I impressed with the wins. No, but at the same time, they were wins in the SEC. I was probably more impressed with the way the team played against usc, than I was in the 2 wins. Played a really good game minus 4 plays. I don't believe most of the blame should be on the coaches in that loss. Bsu, they should take all the blame. Will agree with that. Kids weren't ready. That is coaching.

sadlerdawg wrote: MikeH and AD5, I'm glad that you guys can be happy with just the fact that we won, and I'm not saying that is wrong, but I'm not like that. Yes we won, but there were far too many coaching blunders going on that are going to get us beaten by better teams, and some of us feel that if those mistakes are corrected, we might not lose these other games. EVERYBODY sitting around me in the stadium KNEW we were going to pass on 2nd and 3rd downs after we got the ball on their 15. Everybody wanted to just run the ball and try to score. Question--since we all knew what was coming, do we think the MS coaches might have known? And do you think maybe the offense quits, maybe even subconsciously, after Richt shows ZERO faith in them by not going for it on 2 4th and inches in a row?????
A win is win in my book as well, but simply winning because we are playing far inferior competition doesn't make me giddy and I will point out the mistakes the staff makes over and over.

I, on the other hand, will continue to point out the same mistakes made over and over by people that I, in essence, am helping to pay hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars to do a job which sometimes includes admitting mistakes and trying to correct them.
