I feel the team is getting better, but I am guessing that is all to luck, or soley because players are making plays. To answer your question, I am pretty sure Richt could win the SEC this year, and 70% of the board would still want him gone. However, right now I don't think we are going to win the SEC so that won't be a dilema. CMR is going to be gone at the end of the season.

Could be scary? Don't know if everyone realizes this, but we are not going to get Nick Saban. And we are going to lose CTG. I hope we know what we are asking for. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. I hope it is because I have seen to many programs over-react and end up in a lot worse boat than the one they were in. Don't want my Dawgs going through that.

GO DAWGS

AD5, we are on the same page. I've bashed our coaching staff as much as anybody (mainly Bobo).....change can be good and it also can be a long, frustrating road. I do know the grass isn't ALWAYS greener on the other side (I've personally experienced that saying). Guess we'll see.

I'm simply asking in that scenario will most people still bash him? Want him fired still? Still be critical?

Would be interesting to see.

I'm saying that I doubt people would be as critical, because I don't think it's possible for us to win out unless a great deal of the coaching mistakes are corrected. But, in the unlikely instance that your scenario played out and we won out while winning ugly, and the same coaching mistakes were being made, I, for one, would still be critical of his decisions and would want him gone.

Ok, fair enough.

BUT......if he won out and went 10-2, even winning ugly, he must have done many things right. You don't just "luck" in to winning the SEC East.

Interesting.......10-2 and still bashed after starting 0-2......ok, still interesting to me....anybody else?

(btw...Dooley won a NC doing just that....winning ugly and by the skin of his teeth)

Different times, not even comparable. I'm not talking about just "winning ugly" as you say. I'm talking about the coaching decisions. My question to you is this--do you think we can win out with the same coaching philosophy and decisions used in the last two games?

Guys, I hate excuses more than anyone, BUT, I did want to put things into a bit of perspective:

1. We're one of the youngest teams in college football coming off of a 6-7 season.
2. We're LITERALLY 3 plays away from being 4-1 with our only loss coming to one of the best teams in the country.
3. As of this past weekend, we're 2nd in total defense in the SEC (behind BAMA) and 4th in total offense.

I know you can talk about the superior competition we've played since those two games, but so what...all we can do is line up and play the teams that line up across from us. I know we all demand excellence from our team, but all things considered...thoughts?

With the schedule we have this year, yes, it's definitely possible to win out because I think we are progessing every week. There certainly isn't a game left that we CAN'T win. Am I happy with ALL the coaching decisions?....NO....but with THAT OL and playing a bunch of freshmen, if we win out, how can they be bashed???(except maybe Bozo.....CMR probably would have taken over the play calling)

Oh.....don't get the "different times, not even comparable".......football is football, all relevant.
