I doubt I would fire him after 10-2. That would be tough because I'm bottom line oriented.
It would also be a tough sell to a big portion of the fan base as well to let him go after
10-2.
We here may see beyond the results and still see issues, but a big portion of the huddled
UGA masses may not see that deeply. If I fired him and then regressed next season under
a new regime, it may be my job on the line. I would try to keep him, make some strong
suggestions about the staff, and do what I could to keep him on a short leash if he refused
to make changes. He would be back for 2012, but he probably wouldn't come back with a
contract extension already in hand.

Different times, not even comparable. I'm not talking about just "winning ugly" as you say. I'm talking about the coaching decisions. My question to you is this--do you think we can win out with the same coaching philosophy and decisions used in the last two games?
With the schedule we have this year, yes, it's definitely possible to win out because I think we are progessing every week. There certainly isn't a game left that we CAN'T win. Am I happy with ALL the coaching decisions?....NO....but with THAT OL and playing a bunch of freshmen, if we win out, how can they be bashed???(except maybe Bozo.....CMR probably would have taken over the play calling)
Oh.....don't get the "different times, not even comparable".......football is football, all relevant.
Agree wlayton...Auburn won the NC last year with a few "ugly wins"...until the 4th quarter, the win against us was one of them.

Just saying that with the extra games and the SEC title game nowadays, that it's harder to "win ugly" or to get lucky for the entire season like you used to could. Just my opinion.
So if you're saying CMR probably would have taken over the play calling, then I assume you're saying we can't win out with the same coaching philosophy as the last two games?

That's one of the mistakes that I've said would need to be corrected for us to win out.
