Discussion between CMR and CMB on Sunday morning.

CMB: How was church coach?
CMR: Great Mike. It was good to forget about football for a little while.

CMR: So Mike, how do you feel our running game preformed lastnight?
CMB: Well it went pretty good coach. I think we should run it up the middle more next Saturday.

CMR: OK Mike. I feel the same way. What do you think about the no-huddle?
CMB: I think it worked great. Let's keep that.
CMR: OK Mike sounds good to me. It's bound to work out sooner or later. A blind squirrel will find an acorn every now and then.

CMB: Your right coach, I did find that elusive acorn. When my head was up my ass.
CMR: Thats ok Mike, my head is in the sand.

Im tired, just very, very tired.

The statement about staying with the no huddle offense just goes to show that Bobo and Richt for that matter can't see the forest from the trees.

More opportunities to score? Really this is the reason? It doesn't matter if you run 1000 plays. If you can't sustain a drive and only convert 16% of your 3rd down chances you still aren't scoring that much.

Here is an idea. Fix the O-line start controlling the clock with some semblance of a running game. Find the short pass and then when the secondary and linebackers are being honest air it out over the top with play action. It's not rocket science!!!!!!!

It's a damn good thing these coaches aren't in the arena like in the 4th or 5th century. Otherwise I would be looking forward to giving them the thumbs down and watching the lions have a feast.

Go Dawgs!!!!

I'm very encouraged by Malcolm Mitchell. I got a good feeling about him. For some reason, Richt/Bobo never abandons what fails. There are times where the no huddle is a perfect scheme. Look at the Falcons-Ravens game last year. Atlanta came out in their no huddle and wore our the Ravens defense. Atlanta also has a high tech, amazing conditioning program. When using the no huddle, I'm not sold on the "look to the sideline approach". Why not give Aaron a list of plays and let him call them with what he sees on the field?

There are times when the no-huddle works. You mentioned the Falcons, but they led
the league in time of possession. They go no huddle 2 or 3 times a game, but at any
moment they will also come out and chew 8 minutes off the clock. The Bulldog team
isn't going to be able to do that, so no huddle means defense back on the field
quickly even if we do score.

Which leads me to a big Dawg issue.. Adjustments.

Richt may very well fix the protection issue before Carolina, and I expect it to
work well up until SC starts making adjustments. As soon as that happens, we will
be right back in the same boat unless we are able to keep them off balance with
the actual play calls. I have little confidence in Richt/Bobo making in game
adjustments to react to what the defense is changing up. Spurrier wont keep doing
the same rush patterns for the entire game.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Richt/Bobo got their Christmas present late. Last year they were on AM's case about leaving the pocket. Well, he did as told and could have either ended his playing days or gotten hurt really bad against Boise State.

What does Richt have to say about that . . . . we need to work on the offensive lines protection schemes. Great, how long have we known that Boise State was the first game this season.

Watched an interview with Ben Jones and the blocking patterns against Boise State. Fellows, we did not have a clue, as Ben Jones said, they did some things differently than they did on the tapes we watched preparing for them. Goes back to what you folks are saying, we not only do not make halftime adjustments, we don't make adjustments of any kind on the offense from year to year. That is a fact.

Richt/Bobo call going to quick time an adjustment, and what adjustment was made on the actual play called. I probably missed some little thing that Richt/Bobo did like looking at the sideline for a signal to run a draw on third and sixteen. Guess I am too damn old, eyes and ears are deceiving me.

We have a star in Mitchell, we have others that can make this offense work. Hope we don't lose AM against South Carolina.

Did notice where Bobo said he would be using Mitchell more in the upcoming game. Telling you folks, this Bobo dude knows his stuff. Don't believe it, ask Buckky Belue.

Wait... what?

Boise did something different than what we practiced against??

Oh well then.. I guess our performance can be excused, because that is like..
ya know.. totally unfair.

They were supposed to do what we did: Call the exact same defensive plays the
opponent thought would be called.
