Mike Honcho: glad you are on here. Great post.

It is unfreakingbelievable what we have come to.

While we are complaining, i am tired of hearing Bozo/Richt say the problems are not philosophy, but EXECUTION. Wait, I've been hearing that excuse for 5 years now. If you never execute properly, at what point CMR is it YOUR fault???????

Also, as osomeone else on here previously noted on our play calling: Does anyone on this site NOT know what we will call on 2nd and 10??? Why yes!!! A run up the middle.

And wait!! There is more! Order now, and we will also throw in a Carlton Thomas 3rd and 10 run up the middle for no additional charge!!! yes, YOU can watch our 180 lb scat back fumble as thee 250 LBer's jack him at the line of scrimmage.

Can't help but agree on most points, Wartdawg...except for one. As for coaches/players having to learn a new system, seems to me like that's exactly what we spent the off-season doing...I CAN'T be the only person on here that just about lost it when they saw the offense OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA come out in a shotgun spread...watch the defense set...and then TURN TO THE SIDELINES TO GET THE PLAY!!! I LITERALLY had to turn off the tv for 5 minutes and walk away.

Yeah.. that pretty much turned my stomach.

I still wouldn't want to bring someone back within a completely new regime
who would take 3 more years to his program rolling.

Optimally.. making Richt and Grantham work out would be better.

Ya know... if possible.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

How hard can it be to get back to 10 win seasons? I mean, we've had 6 seasons in the past decade, 7 if you count 9 wins as good. WTH do we need to get back to that? Hell, we had Willie Martinez as DC during that period, so coaching talent obviously is a fickle face when it comes to the importance there...How did THOSE teams do so well, and the last two years turn in to the Howdy Doody show of the SEC?

Thanks BS...and by the way, that last part of your post is priceless!!!

As for the coaches saying the problem lies in execution not philosophy...sounds like a staff that's lost and searching for answers to me. You want to know what ALL of the best coaches in history have in common? When the team loses, it's completely their fault...when the team wins, it's ONLY because of the execution of the players. Not the other way around...

Maybe the "execution" spoken of was coaching execution.
