How did THOSE teams do so well, and the last two years turn in to the Howdy Doody show of the SEC?

Bobo has been allowed more and more autonomy running the offense.
Nothing else really needs to be said for that side of the ball.

Maybe the "execution" spoken of was coaching execution.

Maybe it should be...."execute the coaches"???

Imo I prefer (as ya'll all know) hiring Gary Patterson and his whole staff BUT I "think" I could live one more year IF........Bobo is demoted back ONLY as the QB coach and CMR goes out and hires a very high profile OC that can get it done. I wanted him to go get Whipple from UM after that staff was fired. I feel he calls a great game and really mixes up the plays to the point the opposing D has no clue what is being called. If he can have success with J. Harris as their QB, I can only imagine what he could do with AM.......great OC imo.

I'm willing to give the D coaches another year. SO......in summary.......AT LEAST......1. demote Bozo back to QB coach 2. Make a high profile OC hire 3. leave all other D coaches alone for one more year.

With all the talent in Athens (there now and coming in), that's the MOST LENIENT I would be if I were the AD......otherwise fire the whole staff and start over.

I just really hate the idea of starting completely over. Too many variables.

As noted earlier.. my preference is to have Richt and Grantham work out, but
I don't see any way we can become a consistent top flight program with
Bobo as OC. There's this enigmatic "thing" that coaches must have... a certain
innate feel for the flow of the game. I have no doubt in my mind that Bobo does not
possess this, and that feeling came about long before Sept 3, 2011. Even when
our offense puts points on the board.. they have still looked a bit disjointed
with odd play calling and mistakes that always seem to come about at crucial
moments of the game.

Bad thing is though... if the Dawgs do well enough to save Richt's job, they will
probably do well enough for Richt to justify keeping Bobo as well.

Not bad wlayton. IF that were to happen.

I'll toss out an OC that (yes, it was only 1 game), but in 1 game I know he is better than Bozo.

The new OC at maryland. last name is Crayton. I watched him call plays Miami couldn't stop, so he would call the same play three palys in a row. Then, as the game wore on, he mized it up.

They had several WR's screens; several TE seems down the middle; many RB screens; and a few bombs.

They ran outside, off tackle, and up the middle.

I'll go along with your recommendations UNLESS we win less than 9 games. If we win less than 9 games with THIS schedule, fire them all.

3 things BS:

1. I don't care WHO the high profile OC is....just GET one and demote Bobo
2. If we DO win 9 games, bad news, McGarity will keep the staff as it is.....not acceptable.
3. If we lose enough games to make McGarity act......that's my most lenient proposal.
