BulldogShannon, made me think with some of the stats you posted. Have to type fast or I will forget, comes with surviving.
The slide that we (UGA) are in recently (not too recent) reminds me a bit of Urban Meyer and his stay at Florida. Teams have watched us do the same thing year after year and the guessing game is over. Same thing happened to UM, folks caught on and his record at the end reflects that.
Not to repeat myself but . . . the slide that we (UGA) are in recently (not too recent) reminds me a bit of Bobby Bowden and his stay at FSU. Teams caught on to their brand of football and the curtains closed.
Urban is gone, Bobby is gone . . . . we have to look at Richt's stance on coaching issues and other parts of the program to understand that with all of the success Richt had, he seems to have fallen into the same trap that the two mentioned above did.
Florida State and Florida were built on speed. They had talent, but speed was their main tool.
At this point I am not sure what our method of trying to win is other than we continue to do the same things week after week and year after year. Record also reflects that being the main reason so many of us on this board are not real happy.
With that said, I hope we kick the team coached by Spurrier and put some feeling back into this program. Losing in Athens will not be a pretty scene. Empty seats tell a story.
Go Dawgs . . . coach'em up. Might want to turn AM loose, he can read defenses much better than those that are (chuckle) coaching him up.
