Part One . . . Richt/Bobo vs Fans

BulldogShannon, made me think with some of the stats you posted. Have to type fast or I will forget, comes with surviving. :)

The slide that we (UGA) are in recently (not too recent) reminds me a bit of Urban Meyer and his stay at Florida. Teams have watched us do the same thing year after year and the guessing game is over. Same thing happened to UM, folks caught on and his record at the end reflects that.

Not to repeat myself but . . . the slide that we (UGA) are in recently (not too recent) reminds me a bit of Bobby Bowden and his stay at FSU. Teams caught on to their brand of football and the curtains closed.

Urban is gone, Bobby is gone . . . . we have to look at Richt's stance on coaching issues and other parts of the program to understand that with all of the success Richt had, he seems to have fallen into the same trap that the two mentioned above did.

Florida State and Florida were built on speed. They had talent, but speed was their main tool.

At this point I am not sure what our method of trying to win is other than we continue to do the same things week after week and year after year. Record also reflects that being the main reason so many of us on this board are not real happy.

With that said, I hope we kick the team coached by Spurrier and put some feeling back into this program. Losing in Athens will not be a pretty scene. Empty seats tell a story.

Go Dawgs . . . coach'em up. Might want to turn AM loose, he can read defenses much better than those that are (chuckle) coaching him up.

Does Richt have any eligibility left??? Maybe AM can coach and MR can throw it:)

You are right: lose saturday, and I don't want to think about what it means. It will be the darkest time under CMR.

Hypothetical: say we lose saturday, but win 10 in a row then get drilled in Atlanta. 10-3.

We win the bowl game.

11-3.

I know he will keep his job, and I guess he should since we should be better next year than this year, but how will we feel as Dawgs?? Would that be a blip? Or a sign we have turned it around?

I don't know.

I don't have confidence he can do it.

One more thought guys and gals. Last year prior to playing South Carolina we were at war with their posters on this board. Have not seen a single Gamecock here as yet. Guess they are pretty "cocky" this year . . . . . eh. Wonder why?

Go Dawgs, have no love for Spurrier. He will try his best to put half a hundred on us . . . FACT.

Another good question from where I sit BulldogShannon.

If it plays out like you posted, tells me one thing. Richt took over calling the plays, got together with the players and coaches and made believe this was his early years at UGA.

Going to make a bold statement here. I think that Richt is leaving UGA after this season.

People have caught on to the speed thing. All teams, albeit maybe not across the board
as much as some SEC schools have started doing a better job recruiting speed.

I'm old school, and I think we could win with Dooley's offense if we executed better
than the opponent. Being old school, my biggest talent question will always come down
to the offensive and defensive lines. As in.. what happened to ours? Have we become so
enamored with 5 star skill positions that we have forgotten that the game is most often
won or lost in the trenches? Our lines getting shoved around is a mirror image of our
recent decline.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

You don't have to worry about us going 10/2, when we lose to USC, we will go in to a downward spirral, and loss to Miss State, Tenn, Fla, Auburn and GA Tech. I am not so sure we will be able to beat vandy or old miss, but didn't want to seem to drastic.

I know everyone wants to hope and to believe we really have a chance against USC, but be real, they have more weapons the BS, and a much better D. I know I am the most negative pereson on this board, but from what I saw Saturaday, we will be lucky to kick a field goal. We have no one to block those 2 bid Defensive ends and there middle will tear us up also. AM should be worried, for he will be on his back more than ever. I don't know how vegas comes up with 3 points, I am still sicking to my score 56 to 3. I guess we will see Sat night, I'll admitt I was wrong, or I'll be here to tell you I told you so. I pray to god I am wrong, but with this team I just don't see it.
