seevee is overconfident. His team is highly ranked. His quarterback is a Heisman Trophy candidate. Their offensive line is perfect. Their defensive line is perfect. Their secondary is perfect and their skill players are perfect. Their coaching is the undisputed champions of all of football.

Not only that:

They are playing a team that went 6-7 last year, and according to seevee would have gone 5-8 against their schedule. He thinks we are coached by some wet-behind-the-ears-midget-league idiot who can't figure out how to get his players out to mid-field for the coin toss.

seevee is VERY confident. He looks at that 12-1 record from last year much the way we looked at our 13-1 record after the Hawaii game - it will NEVER end. He genuinely believes that Boise State would play a full SEC schedule and win the championship. He's been reading rags like SI and how his team would run the east, and he's buying it all.

Forget that Georgia has been playing big league football programs and knocking off top tier teams for a century. Forget that Richt has produced conference championships at a 20% rate in by far the toughest conference in the nation. seevee has no idea that one year after going 6-5 we won a national championship. The fact in seevee's mind is that we have no chance. As far as I'm concerned, he's got us right where we want him.

Right on thriller. I only really have one thing to add onto your post....everyone is thinking BSU is gonna roll us. We are being looked at as the easy game of opening weekend. Since everyone seems to believe were gonna lose next saturday the beginning of college football this year will be known as "Upset Weekend!"

b2b, remember what happened to LSU in Athens the year after they won the NC? LSU fans thought that was going to be a stroll in the park. It turned out a little different. Don't you love it when an opponent comes to play and their victory is already assumed?

I'll just repeat what I've said earlier - if BSU wins, we get a new HC because he deserves to be fired. If UGA wins, BSU will still go 10-2 or 11-1 and will play in a choice bowl game.

Go ahead Boise State - relax - you've already won this game. Don't even prepare - Sports Illustrated has already decided this one in your favor, as has EVERY SINGLE sports outlet in the nation! You could probably win with your JV squad. Our itty bitty, slow little pretend football players are scared. VERY scared. They don't even want to break the huddle.

seevee is right. We played Idaho State last year and whipped them. We also played Louisiana Lafayette and won easily. We lost to lowly Colorado and UCF. He's banking on the same UGA team showing up this year that played last year. Just like everyone was banking on the same UGA team showing up in 1980 that played in 1979. Auburn fans think the same AU team will show up this year that showed up last year. How many times does the same team show up year after year?

I've got news for seevee . . . the teams WILL be different.

Just a quick thought. We beat Boise State, then BS goes on to a 10-2, 11-1 as you suggest thriller. Maybe UGA loses one or two, same as Boise State. Maybe we could meet again in a BCS bowl and have at it again. Gitty up little Dawgy. . . . .
