seevee, there IS a cure for it . . . in addition to scheduling Georgia (and winning), schedule Oregon and win and schedule someone like Oklahoma State and win (I'm trying to keep you from having to travel all the way to the SEC), all in the same season. Then win your bowl game.
In fact, you really don't have to win them all. Just play the losses tough and keep the score close - as long as there are 4 or 5 really good teams on the schedule, BSU will start getting HEAPS of respect. Why do you think we went 6-7 last year and are still even ranked by ANYONE? Because they know we played really good teams (even the eventual NC) and kept it respectable in every game. Heck, at one point we even led Auburn by 3 touch downs. Our total lack of coaching and strength and conditioning killed us.
BTW, seevee - most everyone on this forum is going to pull for BSU after September 3rd, and not just because of the game. I think most of us like what the coaching staff has done (not necessarily the former AD - we're not too proud of OUR former one either). BSU is good for college football, and I would have voted them into the (unfortunately non-existent) playoffs last year because they MIGHT be one of the best teams in football. UGA was definitely NOT one of the best, so I would not have wanted to see us in the playoffs.
So you see, we are not against BSU getting a fair shake - but it has to be fair in BOTH directions, not just one. Play the really GOOD teams, and win a lot of those games, and the respect will follow. I hate to say it, and I say it seriously not wanting to hurt your (or anyone else's)feelings, but if BSU continues to schedule only one or two good teams a year, I will continue to doubt BSU.
