I think even seevee could agree that if you go position by position throughout both depth charts UGA is by far the most talented. It comes down to coaching and execution in this one. Based on most recent performances Boise has the edge. I'm thinking we will be better in those two areas and pull out a win. As buc has said numerous times...

b2b, I agree with you with comparing TCU's D with the SEC's defenses.....they are a little undersized but believe they are always top 5 in the country in D and believe they were #1 one year (but going by memory which isn't a good thing).
TCU's D is very tough though. I watched them play Wisconsin in their bowl last year and the 1st quarter and a half, that big OL of Wis. was pushing them around a bit (also outweighted about 50 lbs per man). TCU adjusted and shut them down the last 2 1/2 qtrs.....also won the game 21-19. Wis. ran all over everybody on the ground last year and only got 226 yards on TCU and most was in that first 1 1/2 qtrs.
They aren't as big as SEC D's but very tough and EXTREMELY well coached (that's why I want G. Patterson and his whole staff).

Plain and simple for 2011...WIN

I watched some of the highlights of that Rose Bowl featuring TCU and Wisconsin, but I just don't know if I'm sold on them. I will say that the every year game between BSU vs TCU will interesting as long as the trend they have going continues. I looked at both schedules(TCU & BSU)from 2011 back to 2002 and it wasn't that impressing. But...then again both have shown up in national televised games so........hard to go for and hard to go against.
Plain and simple for 2011...WIN

Titus Young and Austin Pettis are gone and will be playing on Sundays from now on.
We have three WRs with a fair amount of experience and a slew of talented, but inexperienced guys. Young and Pettis will be missed.
Definitely a point of concern, but Moore is so accurate, I hope he can help the new group rise to the occaision. You will be surprised at their speed. Heck, I bet you will be surprised at the total team speed. That's something folks don't expect from BSU.
I suppose your questionable DBs equal our questionable WRs.
b2b, might want to reconsider TCU's D front.....pretty dang good and scrappy....
seevee, quick question.......what about your WR corp?....didn't you lose 2 bigtime WR's from last year? Will that be a weaker link this year for ya'll?

I HOPE our DBs equal BSUs WRs! I badly doubt it. I think if we get to Moore, we succeed. If not, trouble.
I really think of speed when I think of BSU, not much else. Of course, gadget plays also come to mind.
What happened in 2005 is as much a history lesson as D.J. Shockley's and Jared Zabransky's careers. Over. That's what makes this game so interesting. None of us REALLY knows what to expect. Right now the ONLY thing we have to go on is BSU's record from last year and which players they lost. Same for UGA.
That is why I love college football . . . Green Bay will still be a power this year, for certain. Carolina will NOT. Little will change. Not so in college football.

Actually that IS one of the things I think about BSU......team speed. Their DT's are very quick and the whole D runs well.
Our corners will be pretty darn good this year, it's the safety play that is the concern. That's why it is a must to get pressure on Moore.
