And don't forget, wlayton, cincinnati from the mighty Big East was undefeated in '09 until the Sugar Bowl, when, ummmmmmm, they got bombed by an SEC team. Plenty of examples, seevee, but like wlayton said, no need to re-live them all.

Another good one sadlerdawg........also, don't mind re-living them, just can't remember them!!

Since we're strolling down meory lane, let's not forget Utah rolling an SEC team in a bowl a couple years back.

My point is that mid-majors going with one or less loss is pretty rare, in spite of their soft schedules. In the last 18 years, it has been done only 21 times, and 7 of those were by BSU, and 3 by TCU. So, basically, only two teams account for half of the one loss or less seasons of the mid-majors in the last 18 years. It's a rare accomplishment. If it were so easy, many more would have done it.

But all this is too acedemic. Let's play ball.

I'll tell y'all (I used to live in Florida) what our biggest weak spot is, and it is a big worry. Our R tackle is green, and that's Kellen's blind side. What's your biggest worry?

Ok, you win......ya'll are officially "King of the Mid Majors".....congrats. ;) :woohoo:

Imo, our 2 weakest areas are at safety (yikes!) and lack of depth in the OL. Everywhere else has very good talent.

Here's a list of "mid-major" teams that have lame schedules and finished with less than two losses, and that's not even counting the big East, who's champion would fall into the lame schedule category, but they just happen to be a BCS conference.

2004 Utah MWC 11-0
2004 Boise State WAC 11-0
2004 Louisville C-USA 10-1
2005 TCU MWC 11-1
2006 Boise State WAC 12-0
2007 Hawai'i WAC 12-0
2008 Utah MWC 12-0
2008 Boise State WAC 12-0
2008 TCU MWC 10-2
2009 Boise State WAC 13-0
2009 BYU MWC 10-2
2009 TCU MWC 12-0
2010 TCU MWC 12-0
2010 Boise State WAC 11-1

I take your point, seevee, about BS and TCU being responsible for alot of them...my point is, and was, that it happens a bit more often than you are letting on. And believe me, all of these teams heard the same argument about SOS as BS does, and will, until they play more than one decent team each year.
