What a way to start a season, Boise and USC.
One thing's for sure, we will know early how good we are.

Yep, no doubts there. ;)

Buc, Good thread.

I believe both will be good players. I am happy with Drew and Bailey. Good luck to Clowney. I don't think it was a very good idea taking jabs at Saban, but I imagine he was just speaking his mind. Not the best move.

Average, agree totally. We will know what we have right out of the gate. Watched some video of the first meeting a few years ago. Just as I remembered watching it live. That UGA defense flat out TOOK the WILL of the Boise offense. They never had a chance. I have never seen a Richt team that aware of another teams gameplan. Players were more prepared to play that game than I have ever seen in the Richt days. We stripped their spirit early. Hawkins is gone, and Peterson is present. Better coach. Yes, Peterson is better than Hawkins in my opinion. Better players. No. I don't see any reason for Moore not to spend the majority of his time on his back looking into the sky. They will have some wrinkles for sure, but you can break a man's will by physically punishing him. Attack all day.

Offense: Going to keep this simple. Establish a running game early, and run it often. No exception. Nevada ran the ball effectively against BS, no reason our university shouldn't be able to. I would like to believe we have a little better O Line than Nevada. Get it done up front. Crowell and Malcome should have a fun welcoming party to college football.

This is a great board. I know I bother some with my post. Don't mean anything disrespectful. Just how my eyes see it. Unfortunately, sometimes I have bad visin.

Know that I am wrong if I come close to mentioning "looking ahead" or "past" Boise State. They are to be taken at face value, and their play on the field stands out. Not an SEC team, but it is a team that I find myself pulling for in many circumstances. The Little Engine that could. They come to play. Might add that their QB is very seasoned, like a good steak. Many say prime.

Much has been said about Clowney, as it should be. In my opinion, just as important to SC is the signing of Brandon Shell. He was a young fellow that I really wanted to see wearing the Red and Black. Huge and athletic. This was a great get for SS, no doubt, and don't we know that Lattimore is going to appreciate the talent that will be there past his graduation or pro signing.

If we can beat SC in Athens . . . . praying for that . . . . things will surely be looking up for us. Can not stand the thought of SS doing to us again what he did a while back in Athens. This battle between Georgia and South Carolina is rapidly moving up as a war being fought over state lines. Noticed we did not sign any folks from SC this past class. Think that is right. I say they keep their players in state and we do the same. Truly believe the next recruiting class, 2012, will determine a lot of issues that seemed to come to a head this past season.

Once again showing some strength in South Georgia, that is critical. Too many potential UGA players moving across state lines. Hope our coaches keep up the good work that we witnessed this year.

Noticed that Matt Jones says he is going to UF, really wanted him bad. Maybe that will change with us having a good or great season, and . . . . taking care of business in JAX this year. Do know that our quarterback is on a mission after last meeting in Jacksonville. Living in Florida, I keep up with a lot of the "locals" and there are just too many talented players in this state for UF to sign all of them. Appears that UF now has its hands full with FSU. FSU is for real. We just need to keep them out of South Georgia.

Coaching will certainly decide which teams are better in the SEC. Still anxious to know if we have someone lined up to replace Coach Belin. Should know soon.

Always enjoy your posts AD5......my only complaint is that you don't post more often. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Imo, Peterson is a great coach and like you said, has much better players now than Hawkins had (plus Hawkins stinks imo.....remember, he got fired by Colorado....Colorado?? geez). CMR and staff had better be on their toes ALL game, you never know WHAT he will throw at you or WHEN.

AllDawgs5, Always respect your opinions. I appreciate anyone who tells it the way they see it. We're all pulling for the same thing.
If we can get by these first two games, the sky's the limit.

Hey Buc, spot on again... this is the place to be,forget about the rest when you mess with the best.

Drew will be the binder that we need, his voice and leadership. To me he is a young Ray Lewis just ready to tackle anything in front of him. CMR has got a great tool for future recruiting with him also. Another quite day in Athens no jawing or coach speak nobody making bail. Guys just moving metal in the weight room. Focus on the eye of the tiger..only way to ease the pain of losing is go out and win. Home game in the dome,ESPN game day... great chance to put some shine back on the program. Go Dawgs !!
