wlayton, nice economy of words, sir!
Honestly, I don't know what to think of Boise State. Anything could happen in that game. But it does sort of remind me of that Hawaii game a few years ago. I was shaking in my shoes - shows you what little I know.
I know NOTHING of Malcome. If he hangs on to the ball, I like him.
CMR may make it another year at 8-4 or 7-5, but there will be LOUD debate. I sure hope we don't have to go through that.
I truly believe you are ON THE MONEY on your fourth point! (One of our anti-Georgia guys here at work says Jay Rome will be a star in 2012. I have to hear about that every day.)
Boise St is MUCH better than that Hawaii team.....no contest. If we aren't 100% ready, we WILL lose that game.
Malcome will get limited playing time imo.
Rome will be very good but there's a couple of guys ahead of him that ain't bad....He could redshirt.
Agree, we certainly don't want to go there again....the debate issue. 10-2 would eliminate that.

If I am not mistaken, most on here thought we'd win the east last year, the we were the sleeper team. Now here we go again with all the hope and promise based on what, a good recruting class. Like me or not call me what you want, but until I see results, I will be harsh, I will not believe in the coaching staff, nor the lazy players until I have seen results.
I will be right here, I am here every day, and if we go 8-4 or 9-3, or 10-2 I will be the first to say well I was wrong and every body had the faith and I will be convinced that the coaches do know how to coach and motivate. But until that day arrives, I sick by my guns that we will go 4-8 or 5-7. I have seen nothing but talk, games are deceided on the field of play. You can talk all you want and say you are doing this and that. I remember CMR saying last year, we had a real good week of practice ect ect and came out played flat and lost.
Just my opionion on the current state of UGA football.

You may well be right about that. I sure hope you are wrong. Unfortunately there is nothing to do right now BUT talk about it. It keeps me from watching golf.

I can't hide from what I said through this past season, Buc was an unhappy camper. I heard the same noise that you did, been in the public relations business for many years, and UGA needed someone to take over that PR spot. The information being handed to us through the media channels was totally out of bounds.
Believe that we (UGA) found that PR person. One of those Irish sounding names. Some call him Mick. Our new AD hit the floor running. First person that he focused on was Richt, as it should be, football is the cash cow. One of McGarity's jobs, and the most important one was to get the football operation in gear . . . . without excuses. In gear from my view means winning football games against top competition in the SEC. Richt is not the only one that will be judged for his efforts this year, or next year. AD McGarity will be followed closely, and guess what, McGarity knows that full well.
Want to ask you this question and I am willing to post to the same question I am asking. List the teams that you think we will put on our win list. Pretty simple to decipher who you think will beat us.
I posted that we have a good shot at 9 wins, this year. Hope that is not drinking the kool aid. Talent wise, not too many on our schedule are head and shoulders above us. Comes back to that coaching thingy, seems to me.

ML was a HIGHLY touted RB out of HS and much WAS expected of him. USC had an enormous and talented OL this past year for him to run behind and even early in the year, we knew he was going to be good...how good?....nobody totally knew.
Garcia is no AM and if they key on IC, Lord help them because AM and corp. will pass them silly. It is going to be extremely tough to defend our offense this year BECAUSE of IC and AM & corp.
IC doesn't have to have the same success ML had last year but take this to the bank......our total offensive production will lead the SEC East.
That kind of balance is what coaches kill for.
duck, I'm with ya on not expecting TOO much but the talent base is there.......a very good year wouldn't surprise me at all with the players in Athens.
(oh, I was one on winning the East bandwagon but once AJ was suspended, I bluntly stated that he "just cost us the East Title single handedly")

Also, there are those out there that are talking about sophomore jinx and such where AM is concerned. Truthfully, this is his third year. I kind of view last year as his sophomore year. He was exposed in JAX . . . AM has a long memory. Just sayin' . . . .
LSU wins the west and UGA wins the east, holy crap Batman . . . show down between AM and M. Kind of thing that reputations are made of.
