Stacey Searels OUT

Sometimes people that post on these blogs, like me, are looking for recognition. Never accomplished anything in my life, so . . . . . here I am.

Best way for me to get noticed is to challenge, then members on the board line up and go to their respective corners.

Credentials are not checked, who knows past history of bloggers, just fall in line with what you believe, or want to believe, or want others to believe. If you want others to join with you, first rule is to be correct in what you are posting. If it happens to be garbage, then folks like BulldogShannon come up and call your hand. Hard to bluff on this board, there are many here that will call your hand. Be advised, this is not the FIRST! at the AJC.

If it were only a few on this board questioning what is going on in Athens that would be one thing. Think over the past year I have seen that number grow, not slowly, leaps and bounds. Not just here, check other sites, decide for ones self.

Now, it must be those of us that think we see some cracks in the dike should maybe turn our head, heaven forbid that we see the leak and put our finger in the hole or crack. We know that it will get better because the other side says that their way is the only way.

So here we go. Richt comes back next year and runs the table. If you think for a minute that you are going to be above me in excitement, again pal, you are wrong. If Richt comes back next season and bombs again . . . . . myself and others don't have to say a word. Words like . . . I told you so. Actions sometimes speak louder than words.

Next season is not going to be hard to judge, we are all aware of the "situation" at UGA. As some on this board have said, said in this thread, 8-4 won't do. Take a minute, digest that number and let me throw this out. We beat UF, AU, SC, GT, our losses come from other schools . . . does Richt remain, it is still 8-4. When we play with numbers we need to be very careful, NUMBERS ARE MISLEADING.

Really have nothing to do this afternoon, thought I would have some fun posting in this thread. Hope I haven't made too many folks mad, if I did, p on you. :)

Hey Buc, ironically, if we went 8-4 and beat UF, AU, USC and GT, I think I would be pretty happy about that.........naaa, guess I wouldn't, sorry (except for the UF win :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: ;) )

Of course the number of Richt haters have grown. He is not on a hot streak by any means. The more you start losing, the less likely a fan base is going to stand behind you.

Guessing the comments in the first 4 paragraphs are directed toward me. Sorry, I don't know what I was thinking. Still waiting on the abundant list of OL Searels produced at LSU. Have seen anything to make me think otherwise.

I have been saying for awhile that Richt is losing my vote. Even if I believed he should be fired immediately, I think they all should. They all work together to get the job done, and they are not. ALL OF THEM. They have all done their share.

Like the numbers you bring up. Would be interesting to see what takes place if we beat all them. Truly believe though, if we beat them, we will be better than 8-4. I think 8-4 he is gone. If he beats all of them, he would not excuse for the other losses.

And you don't make me mad. You are free to doubt my credentials all you want. Never met you, but I still like ya. Calling me out is fine. However, I would prefer to never be pissed on.

OK, scroll up and read my post, you must have missed it.

I said he had MORE, not an ABUNDANT amount. Again, he a a 2nd rounder and a 4th rounder at LSU in THREE years, and has had ONE 7th rounder in three drafts while at UGA.

You be the judge of that.

All in all I believe everyone who have posted this topic agree with one thing. CMR just is not getting it done. Look, Searels will probably do a good job at his next stop in Austin. However he is largely to blame for the decline in OL play last year. BUT...one knows and has complete understanding of what his boss expects out of him. And if the boss is not burning the midnight oil, I can assure you that those beneath him will not be either. CMR can not expect his subordinates to outperform while he has obviously underperformed for whatever reason. He MUST set the bar high, outwork everyone, and then ask why is no one keeping up. I think the coaches under CMR have been able to keep up with little trouble and therefore the under performances around the team exist in abundance. I think the writing is on the wall and CMR will be gone after next year.

savannahdawg, there is another member, respected member on this board that this post reminds me of . . . sadlerdawg. I have always referred to him as the man of reason, appears that you have the same qualities. Folks need to drop their damn egos and just lay it out. If we can't express our views, whichever corner we are in, we are still pushing for the same cause. There is no one on this board that I know of that has the inside to what is going on in Athens. Richt has tried to be very careful, saying things like we will say more in a couple of days. Nothing wrong with that, but there have been just too many couple of days speeches in the last (several) years.

I agree Maybe he has learned enough in the past ten years that will move him closer to being a true head coach. If this happens at UGA, beginning now . . . . show me. If he cannot move forward, that should not be a problem for those of us that have been around UGA for more years than he has lived on the face of the Earth. If he comes away with talent like those that haven't commited yet, two will today, he had better have a plan for the future. Right now is easy as compared to what it will be . . . . .
