Guess this is our first disagreement, or should I say, difference of opinion. Searels did not have a chance at UGA. Will be more than glad to discuss this with you BulldogShannon.

hey buc. Always look forward to your input.
1. It just seems like we aren't smashing DLmen back like we used too.
2. I can't think of the last dude we put in the NFL under searels.
3. We have no big nasties.
What say you?

BulldogShannon, glad you asked.
The present "administration" thinks that you win football games with folks that get all the glory when the play is over.
You are so right about the big nasties. You, myself and a few others on this board have talked about this, would be glad to dig back through posts over a long period of time and produce what folks talk about.
The conversation is 99% or close to that percentage that folks here and all of the blogs that concern UGA football talking about every position on the field with the exception of the offensive line.
Check the many youtube features on this board right now, for the most part put there by RabunDog. This is not a shot at RD, he is a Dawg, but how many pieces of film are about offensive linemen. . . .
If you go to the Miss State site, check the stats on the size and numbers of players on their offensive line. Mullen knows as Saban knows, games are won in the trenches.
Not going into the patch work that Searels has had to do with us just to field an offensive line. Will later as I think this thread willl draw a lot of comments, and it will expose another reason that Searels is leaving. I yield the floor, saving more than a few minutes to dig deeper into the real reason for this special coach leaving.

Sounds as though he's gone
Think he is a good coach - was great at lsu - guess texas thinks he can be sucessful again - don't understand why he was unable to get it going at uga - could be a plus if they have to take bobo - package deal
good luck stacy - sorry things didn't work out

Buc,
Great response. Correct me if I am wrong, but are you saying that the problem isn't Searels, it is a coaching philosophy that is not putting enough time into recruiting the big uglies. and that Searels is doing the best with what he has to work with?
If so, I look forward to discussing this with you and others. If you are right, then we will never get better as long as CMR is HC.
You may be able to sway me to your side:)
You at least have my interest piqued
