sadlerdawg......believe CMR will turn AM loose this coming year. He will probably run and use the offense Shockley ran. They are very similar and with a year under his belt, AM will be running Shockley's offense.....watch for it.

Buc, Houston is gone, don't believe there's any way he will stay. Hope he will but he's done. I would go too.

Tend to agree with you, probably 99/1 in favor of NFL. Figure he is probably ready to leave Athens.

We have heard a lot about Jones, now we will get to see just how good he is. Not like a freshman walking on campus.

Notice on the Auburn sites they are asking about Jenkins. Like the fact that Jenkins' Mom met Richt with hugs. Still say he would make a great recruiting coordinator, Mothers seem to like his approach. Seems to me that his skills are strong in that area of football.

Buc, guess you saw where Dowtin is transferring.....fine with me.

ALSO, guess you also saw where Whipple is probably going to be UCONN's next HC. Geez......I wanted him as our next OC. You snooze, you lose.

Saw Dowtin was granted his release to transfer. Hate to see the experience on defense go away, but good riddance to another off the field issue. Punishment had to be coming involving lack of playing time next season for this to happen. Cannot see CMR being happy about not being told about this incident at the beginning.

I'm still waiting to see see a report that Caleb King will not be back either. Another one that needs to be offered his release which in turn may help place the final piece in landing IC.

wlayton, I hope you're right. But we've heard from the staff they were going to open it up this season--in fact, here's what Richt said after the SC game--

“If we’re going to have a chance to beat a team like Arkansas, who’s very prolific offensively, we’re going to have to score points,” Richt said. “Not just that game, but throughout the rest of the year. So we should just let the kid play.”

"the kid" he was referring to was, of course, AM. Unfortunately, I've still seen the same offense I've seen under Richt for the past several years.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't AM have more yards as a freshman than DG or any other UGA QB's? With the exception of a few games (without AJ), the O put up plenty of points and the D cost us many games. Not beating a dead horse and DO understand what you are saying with some of the play calling.....but for a freshman, he did pretty dang well. Be REAL surprised if they don't let him do even more this coming year, Remember, when they turned everything over to DJ he was a 5th year senior. Hopefully this will happen.....but I hear ya!!

Fine with me also wlayton. If he wanted to play, needed to tuck his lips in, stop pouting and prove to Belin he belonged on the field. I am hoping that this was as much a decision made by Belin as Richt.

DawgnLA, King appears to have some of if not more problems than Dowtin. In another thread I said something along the lines of don't let the door hit you in the butt. This young fellow is heading down a path where there are those that don't care if you were once BMOC. Really don't like threats being used by some.

Think that Fran said it best. Program is in deep trouble.

wlayton, UConn will score a lot of points, Whipple is a fine hire for them.
