BulldogShannon, that would be a lot of size for sure. Here is what is eating at my craw.
During the Florida game, their offenisve line was talking and basically laughing at UGA. They had been informed apparently in their game plan that UGA was totally out of shape.
The more I look back at the second half of all close games, it is apparent that we are not physically ready to play SEC football. I hate saying that, however watch some of our games, especially the second half play on both sides of the ball, and our o and d lines look like they would rather be on the sideline. Apparently some of the same chatter was coming from the Auburn players. It was noticeable, especially when I go back and review the film. Tech appeared to be in much better shape, really hate saying that.
I am going full tilt here with sadlerdawg . . . . Richt needs to forget about friendship and coaching football with friends. This has been said before and now it is front page material. Our strength coach is a failure. Don't think so, watch some of this years film and judge for yourself as to which o and d lines are kicking butt. Changing practice setup toward the end of the season. I am concerned about a couple of things.
Here is a bit more information. I also know that we went into overtime with Florida, maybe they had some problems also, however, check out the comments from them, Auburn is doing the same.
Florida's offensive players really enjoyed installing the no-huddle up-tempo offense during the bye week because they knew if they ran it correctly that the Georgia defense would be overwhelmed.
And they really, really enjoyed watching the Bulldogs struggling in the fourth quarter.
"It's fun seeing 300-pound linemen wheezing for air and you're fine," offensive lineman Carl Johnson said. "The D-line, they're wheezing and you're like, 'He's tired. He's tired.'"
Johnson took particular pleasure in talking some trash during the game.
"When 31 [defensive end Demarcus Dobbs] got hurt, I was pointing [and saying], 'He's tired. He's not really hurt.' He was just tired and faked an injury to get out of there, stop the clock. If he didn't, we were on the ball, ready to go again, they were gassed."
It's one of the few times that an offensive lineman can get in some digs about being in better shape, and Johnson said he savored that feeling.
"You feel like you own them a little bit," Johnson said. "'You're blown, you're tired, you're gasping. I'm fine.' It's fun."
Freshman H-back Trey Burton said he could tell pretty quickly the defense was going to be gasping in the fourth quarter.
"The first quarter, they were done," Burton said. "They were about to tap out after a while."

Having been in construction for forty years, I know a little about management.
Sometimes you shake up the crews, switch people around, whatever.
Productivity doubles.
Sometimes employees get a little too comfortable.
On the mark again averagedawg.
