yankeedawg1, Kirby Smart made it clear that he would be recruiting young men that fit his plan. None of this using the scholarships up just to use up same. Kirby is not about numbers, he answered that question from the press soon after his arrival. Really like Kirby's straight forward approach. I also believe that is what draws many of the talented pups to him. Coach also knows that these young men have their eyes on who is going where. Nothing wrong with that, actually it eliminates some of "our mistakes" from the past.

The article below is what many of us believe will change football in the Classic City.

There were coaches prior to this group that did not see eye to eye with each other and it showed. Won't call names but . . . . Bobo and grantham . . . . There were other problems, one of the coaches is now employed by Auburn.

I like both those guys. Just going to have to wait and see how they do with uga talent. Don't know much about the teams they coached on together before, but not that many wins. All hinges on recruiting the blue chip players, imho.

Yeah, an overlooked aspect of the game, perhaps, is chemistry between coaches. Maybe for those of us on the outside of the game, this is an aside. I think CKS learned this from Saban, that the mix of coaches and how well they relate to each other matters in the grand scheme of things. These kids feed off the energy of the team, and if the coaches dislike each other, it sends a negative vibe that resonates across the entire program. You want the guys on D pulling for the offense, and vice-versa.
