Steve, I am glad to see that the game of "political football" has caught on with the fans that pay the salaries.
Social media such as Dawgs.com can bring forward conversations that were absent prior to the electronics game growing leaps and bounds.
As for McGarity . . . . having read a couple of things he has said about emails, emails from the fan base. Apparently he thinks he is above what many have been saying for a long time. Seems he thinks being "given" the AD job puts him above those that are far more competent than himself.
Bet this . . . . Kirby Smart is not one that Greg McGarity wants to "mess with". McGarity played along with Richt, until the fan base said enough is enough. Even better, South Carolina made a "necessary move" for the UGA faithful to really "open up" and "demand change".
Mark Richt would still be the head coach in Athens had not the AD's hand been called. Do I believe that Kirby Smart would have taken the job in Columbia, not only believe it, know that would have happened. In effect, South Carolina saved Greg McGarity's AD job.
This is what our AD is doing . . . . Repay our University the $65k or get up bright and early and start running the stadium steps, sir.
