Monday Happiness . . . .

Pulled this from Bernie's article.

UNC has trouble stopping the run. And that's putting it lightly for a defense that finished 122nd nationally in run defense. Chaney can run-run-run and use passing plays Eason is comfortable with to balance things out just enough.

What is being described in the paragraph above is what I believe I watched in the G Day Game.

After reading Bernie's article, set me in motion to take "another look" at Jake Fromm.

Kirby Smart and his Offensive Coordinator, Jim Chaney have two quarterbacks that are going to cause a lot of trouble to the teams they play . . . . for a long time.

Watching the video below on Jake Fromm, totally impressed. Jake reminds me a lot of AM. Yep, I said that. Jake is a strong young man that does not "flinch" in the pocket, or no pocket. Chaney will love that.

Jake "reads" defenses. Video below points that out on many occasions.

Jake can throw off of his "back foot" under pressure better coming out of high school than many that are now playing quarterback in the SEC and other conferences.

Jake Fromm could have played "anywhere" and he chose to change from Alabama to Georgia for his college football career. That is impressive. Impresses me. Many quarterbacks would not have made that change simply not wanting to face "competition".

When Jake has time to set his feet, we get to see just how accurate he is.

Jacob and Jake . . . . The "J Boys" (young men) ;) will be a huge draw for receivers and running backs for several years.

There are some coaches in Athens that have really got the mind set in the direction of UGA Football moving forward. What is not to like?

I enjoyed watching the video below again. Spend a lot of time watching film, have done that for many years. Film study is something Jacob and Jake have done a lot of, that is for sure.

Would not be surprised if Jake Fromm takes a redshirt.

Welcome to Athens Coach Jim Chaney, your presence was needed.

And this . . . .

I have a request to make to the Georgia Athletic Director.

Take $65,000 out of your half a million dollar yearly salary and reimburse the University of Georgia. That would be the "right thing to do, sir".

You expect others to step up, see if the shoe fits.

Words out of Kirby's mouth . . . .

Kirby is not and will not "duck".

As Wartdawg has said over many years on this board . . . . "No Excuses".

"I feel the pressure of the whole state ... At times, it's overwhelming when you start thinking about the magnitude of it, but that's what we all signed up for."

I am one of those that believes more than football players should be held to task. Task meaning the job you were hired for.

Continue to believe that we (UGA) made a mistake when hiring Greg McGarity.

Has nothing to do with "hiring" those that attended UGA. Many have been hired that are involved with sports teams in Athens, and believe the reason is "they" graduated from UGA. Many of the outcomes we know.

Nick Saban did not graduate from Alabama. Don't really need to go through the list . . . . right?

Erk was not a graduate of UGA, think about that. I do.

Georgia once again "misfired" with hiring a grad that spent many years in Gainesville, Florida and could not get above #2.

Am I the only one that looks at what Greg McGarity has/has not accomplished in Athens . . . . sometimes I think so.

Will say this . . . . every university needs a "whipping boy", from where I sit, we got ours.
