While there has been much said about Steve Spurrier (SS) over a long period, there are usually two sides to every story.

Not only did Nick Saban say publicly that Georgia is a job that surpasses most in the country, not only the SEC.

Steve Spurrier now foot loose and fancy free, saying what he knows to be the truth, agreeing with Nick Saban concerning UGA Football.

SS said repeatedly that the amount of football talent that UGA has had for many years, not just the past 15 years, results speak for themselves.

It is not the lack of talent on the field, it has been the lack of talent from the coaching ranks.

For Nick Saban and Steve Spurrier to agree on anything, especially UGA Football, give that some serious thought.

Say again, the missing factor in Athens has been a lack of leadership from those that hire and fire. Problem with our program is the wrong folks were hired and fired . . . . meaning the "TOP" has been awful from a leadership stance.

Smart and Company are changing the dynamics of Georgia Football. They are to be left alone and not doing anything more than what is requested from Smart and Company.

Football has a place in Athens, proven by the fans in "huge numbers".

My way of thinking, we, you and I as fans understand what is going on and has been needed for x number of years.

This truth sticks in my mind. Nick Saban has not won the number of championships in Tuscaloosa being a lucky leader. Luck sometimes plays a part, sometimes a huge part. What Nick Saban has done in Tuscaloosa is hard work and a system that got both Saban and the fans on the same page.

Smart and Company are doing that right now. Kirby asked for and got the support he wanted to help him and his coaches live up to what was said by . . . . Nick Saban and Steve Spurrier, concerning Georgia Football.

Go Dawgs :)

Lack of talent aside, part of the problem is IMG made MR a 'Media Talent' and managed that part of his life. It is a huge conflict to have to be a college football coach and 'Mr Media Guy' at the same time.

It was a formula for disaster. It created Mr. Nice Guy and the 'Bleeding Hearts'. He is still a 'Media Talent' with IMG as they try to shop that concept in Miami.

We needed a football coach not a media star. We have one now.

KS are you listening?

Best post in this thread. Factual in my opinion.

Another area of our football team that has been "hoped/wished for" for a while, by many.

There were some posters on Dawgs.com a while back that often mentioned "fullbacks and tight ends". Might be the reason that they don't post here anymore, can't speak to other sites.

Find it interesting that John Lilly chose not to follow Mark Richt to Miami. Yes, I have conversations, and Richt had zero control over our program for many years. Player talent can only do so much.

Maybe they return now. Dawgs.com is "tight end friendly" and we have an Offensive Coordinator that is impressing folks that post here, and apparently on other sites.

This 2016 Offensive Unit is going to score a lot of points.

Two(2) sites that I have read questions concerning whether or not our offense will put points on the board.

WTF is all I can say after reading those that are playing the "click game".

Take the time to look at the "entire" offensive team and tell me that we are "lost". To that I say . . . . BS.

A better assessment would be whether or not we can keep the other side from scoring. My opinion.

Kirby Smart is playing a "smart" game. A game that Richt did not understand, and will never get a grip on. Smart and Company "know" that the defense is going to be incredibly hard to score on. Will Kirby Smart say that? Speak to me on that point.

OK, what are they (defense) going to do differently? These guys understand how to play, ready for this . . . . Cover Two. This is not Willie Martinez coaching, new name that understands "how". Willie did not have a clue how to "apply" the "cover two" in all "situations". Folks that I chat with say that Martinez has learned a lot since leaving Georgia, Oklahoma, Auburn and is now situated in Knoxville. Willie is not on the Dean's list in Knoxville. Do not be surprised after Tennessee and Georgia face off in Athens that a change will occur.

Stop with this . . . . Georgia has an "outstanding football team". Care to discuss that, don't be shy, Dawgs.com is open to chatter.

Go Dawgs, Change is NOW. :)
