Take this for what it's worth and with a grain of salt. Word is that Lambert has had some very good practices all summer and had his best on Tuesday since arriving on campus. Hearing that his confidence is really high and the entire team is letting him know to play like that from here out.

Now if this is all true then at least in his head he is feeling better about things and that should make us all feel somewhat better right? Wrong if you ask me because I've seen hundreds if not thousands of kids that can light it up at practice but when the lights are shining the brightest they become deer caught in the headlights. I'm NOT saying that is Lambert but man he with out a doubt in my opinion struggles at times with the pressure and makes very poor decisions.

I'm hoping that maybe a switch has flipped in his head and things will start to come around this Saturday. There is no doubt in my mind that the kid is very smart and has all the tangibles to get the job done...

It's easy to have good practices when you are wearing the green "don't hit me" jersey. Thing is though is that you have to take that off on Saturday.

I hope you're right SFlanigan... Spurrious will load the box and blitz from
everywhere. The passing game is going to need to make some plays, and probably not just 1 or 2 because that wont be enough to make them play honest.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

sflanagan21, I am hoping and praying he will become more confident and aggressive plus maintain control. Things have been looking soft and he needs to harden up. I too think he has it in him.

This is the game we have all been anticipating. It will test the strength of the team.

I will be ready and here Saturday.

Go Dawgs!

sflanagan21, your post #25 sums it up for me. On the one hand, you hope he really is better than what we've seen and he just had some bad breaks and jitters early on and now he's going to switch it on. But like you said, a lot of potential stars get undone by nerves and freezing up, like public speaking in front of a big crowd instead of your mirror.

I'll say this. There is probably nobody in college football who knows a quarterback's psychology better than Steve Spurrious. He knows about jitters and how to take FULL advantage of that. Pre-snap reads will be virtually impossible. Changing plays at the line will have GL questioning himself all the way through the game. Our coaches need to have him ready for all the nonsense he is GOING to see this Saturday in the SC defense.

USCe will logically load the box. Lambert needs to go through his reads with the confidence of knowing that the line has his back, and his RB will pick up the blitz. Don't pat the ball.

I keep hearing about his arm. Let's see it this weekend. So many weapons. SO MANY . . .

I'll say this for Steve Superior, he has managed to get deep inside the heads of anyone associated with UGA football and feels he has got a free run to squelching UGA's chances in any game he coaches against us. Hopefully we got something for him!!!!! GO DAWGS!!!
