SEC requires solid kicking and punting. At this point our punting has been anything but impressive.

Rodrigo gets the ball up quick, lots of height for coverage. This is the kind of Special Team player that does not need to be messed with. My opinion.

Thinking we could give up a QB a scholly for a punter and kickoff specialist like that. He had Reggie Roby like hang times! Just what the doctor ordered.

You guys know that many here have had a lot to say about Special Team(s).

I remember when our head coach was going to "study up on kicking" and help Blair Walsh out, along with others that would come after. Blair Walsh drafted by the Vikings and in his first year won the kicking job. Coach for the Vikings change one thing concerning Blair's approach and BINGO.

This is what his head coach had to say about Blair.

"He's really a terrific kicker," head coach Mike Zimmer said. "He does a lot of really, really good things. Obviously, he's a great field-goal kicker but he helps us with field position by kicking the ball out. He can do a lot of things with the football. I have a lot of confidence in him."

Edit . . . . Head coach I believe has Rodrigo Blankenship as a walkon kicker/punter. If information can be found on an athlete like Rodrigo as simple as checking youtube this concerns me. Trying to be nice. Just repeating what you posted growl.
