yankeedawg1, hope that what I said in the above mentioned post was not misleading. Sometimes the fingers move faster than the brain.
Do not see any D1 schools calling. That is not a shot at Josh Cardiello, loves football and . . . .
Apparently circumstances in Athens prompted the move. Players know when or if they are going to line up on Saturdays, some do anyway. Josh is one. He gave it what he had and now will move on to maybe a level where he can play the game he loves.
My attention is centered on what is happening now in Athens. Regardless of whether or not we win the East (our goal) as set by the "Top", changes have occurred that will improve our chances of maybe making it "past" the "goal" that our head coach has set for several years.
I look at the names of young men coming in, quick to check every piece of film or written material that I can find on them (everyone of them) and try to sort through what I believe our chances are.
Not a doubt in my mind that many young men are attending Georgia to play football because of recent hires. As some in the AJC and other sites like to say . . . . Who hired the new coaches"? I understand this . . . . before Pruitt/Rocker and Company were hired, "Top" did not do so well with his previous choices. Last choice prior to Pruitt was grantham. Last count I had, grantham was the fourth or fifth choice. Several before grantham said not interested.
Not interested in the Red and Black or not interested in the "Top"? I have given that a lot of thought.
We know the person responsible for Pruitt's arrival, it was not the head coach that started that "ball rolling".
Pruitt might end up not being "all that", but one thing for sure, he has changed the "recruiting game" in Athens along with Bryan McClendon . . . . and Tracy Rocker is "all that".
Said in an earlier post that I listed a video concerning what was asked and what was said. Did not hear a single defensive coaches name called out as improving recruiting and development of same. Something to think about. CYA. At that "Top" is "skillful".
