My opinion.
There are coaches in Athens that have to be asking the same questions that have been asked on this board.
If we go back and look at the quarterbacks on campus since 2001 and the results, in no way does it lead me to think that our head coach has an understanding of the position.
This is the way I see the current state of affairs . . . .
Jacob Eason arriving in 2016. Bringing in Lambert makes life easier for the head coach upon Eason's arrival. Head coach is laying the ground work for a highly rated "high school" quarterback that does not and has not faced the competition that Georgia and Florida high school quarterbacks face on Friday nights.
Jacob Eason has attended a lot of "camps", camps that do not allow knocking the quarterback on their butts. Much like Spring G Day Game. Touch but don't tackle. Spirals are supposed to be a thing of beauty. Linebackers and defensive linemen in the SEC with "pads on" . . . . below is an example of what they will do.
AM has played against stiff competition both in high school and college.
What happens if . . . . God forbid that something bad happens to Eason . . . . I know, have a solution . . . . head coach will take care of it, not a problem.
Supporters of the head coach will say something like this since the signing of Lambert . . . . the things that happened to AM is the reason for adding another quarterback. Amazing, the only injuries in football happen to the quarterback.
Mark Richt does not have a clue. Basking in the 9 and 10 win seasons, supporters full of excuses for Georgia losing 3 or 4 games a season. Not Georgia players, Georgia head coach.
