DWS I think there is a difference what Chubb is saying and how he is saying it than that which came from IC

Both NC & SM want to compete for playing time which means learning the playbook and how to block

They won't see the field until they do Never saw AM have to point to TG or NM or any of the other backs were they needed

to be I read most everything that has been printed on NC and he wants to play and will

what struck me is him saying that he wanted to learn from TG & NM both of which have come forward to offer to share

yankeedawg1, I might be wrong, think that DWS was referring to what Gurley said. Like I said, could be wrong, often am, believe it was meant to be a "stand up" comment.

Todd Gurley did say he was coming to Athens to play, and as you say, he said it with "class" not like IC did.

Buc that's the same thing Gurley said just proud to see somebody not afraid of competition but I think Gurley can handle it.

Dawg With Style, I do believe that Todd Gurley is going to have an incredible year. Defenses will focus on him, but . . . . that is what Mike Bobo is looking for, and I hope planning for.

Say again, if this offensive line comes out and plays, believe that to be the one "must have" for Georgia to be in every game we play.

Much talk about our defensive backfield, rightfully so. If I am to believe the "line" coming out of Athens at this point, teaching will be better and produce some results that will have many of us happy to see the recent change in Defensive Coordinators.

Over the weekend watched the FSU/AU NC game (again). With many "newbies" in the FSU defensive backfield, the one problem that concerned me was "protection" over the middle. Auburn with its variation of the spread sucked the linebackers in and it left the middle of the field wide open. Would not surprise me to see the same this 2014 Season. Simply . . . . Jeremy Pruitt does not like the ball go deep. Looked much like what the "Cover Two" was designed to do. Difference in Pruitt's cover two and Willie's cover two . . . . Pruitt "understands" how it works.

Much is on Rocker's shoulders this season. I do not have a doubt that we will see a rush that none of us have seen in the Classic City before. I sincerely believe that. #84 and others, trouble for every team we play in 2014. End of 2014 will not resemble the end of 2013. Said that and believe that. Damn, I love defense.

First game against Clemson will let us know just how far the "newbies" have come in a short amount of time under Pruitt/Rocker and Company. Have been using a "lower case c when referring to the other defensive assistants. No more, it is a capital C. Company not company.

I to am looking foward to seeing a smash mouth TEAM defense. One that will make teams earn yards not just give them. I also like the fact they have adjusted the targeting penalty were the yardage is not giving if the call is overturned never understood in forcing the yardage. Just gave the zebra's a way to twist the game. That should help the d backs play faster.
