A little more on attitudes.

See where Kamara has signed on with Tennessee. Can't blame him for that, for this reason . . . . At Tennessee, he will get some carries, right away.

What I don't like about this kind of thingy . . . . Way I see it, he is playing the "ME" game again, as many do, like Shaq for example. Feel they should walk on campus and the world should stop, BMOC is here.

What I do like about this . . . . We have running backs coming to Georgia knowing that there are players like Gurley and Marshall and others that will take most of the handoffs. Good example of that is A.J. Turman, Brendan Douglas, Nick Chubb, Sony Michel. Speaking for myself, will take any one of the above mentioned backs over another "ME" player. Each and everyone knew the circumstances before recruiting. Good on them and good on Georgia for not really pursuing another inflated attitude, had enough of that spit.

Get busy with offensive linemen, give the above backs a "little room", they will give us "big gains".

Go Dawgs, Coach'em Up . . . .

The "bottom line" good news to me is that UGA has become "Tailback U".

Seems most of the great backs want to come to Athens. Nice problem to have......

Evidence to me that they want to play in a pro-style offense to get ready for the next level.

Found it interesting how the folks in Tennessee chose to play up the Kamara get. From those that I know and most of my looking around the internet and emails, Georgia had no interest in Kamara. AJC played that up, but what the hell is new on that front . . . . Appears that UGA has learned a couple of valuable lessons the past two or so years. Hope so.

Bold quote below is the first "contradiction" from Kamara since signing on with Tennessee. When reading the article one would think that Georgia was after Kamara big time. My bet is it won't be the last mouthy statement from UT and Kamara. Wonder if he still has all of the letters sent to him from Alabama?

Some truth in the statement about different college formations. However, have not found the running back position hugely effected on the NFL level regardless of pro-style or spread. Recent years the spread and other variations have popped up, probably see more and more coming from formations other than the pro-style. My opinion.

“Really, with me not playing, it kind of gave me a way to look at it from a different perspective. Not playing made me sit back and think about, ‘You really have to work for this.’ It kind of humbled me.”

Nick Saban definitely got the message across to Alvin Kamara, that is what I gather from the bold paragraph above.

The article below comes from a short time back in the past. Find myself looking in the vault when the board slows down. Also, it is interesting to "look back" as well as "looking forward" sometimes.

For those that like looking back . . . . This was exposed to the internet on Thursday, June 18, 2009. Looking back is what I have done a lot of in my years of being a part of college football. Find it interesting reading comments today versus yesterday.

Taken from the article below.

Will it work in the SEC? I don't know, but if it does, expect plays like the one in the video below to be on all the highlight reels. Notice how the motion by one receiver sets up the sweep in the opposite direction by the other. With Malzahn's offense, don't just try to watch the ball, because that will rarely ever tell you where it actually is.

Pulled from the 20 Comments to the article.

Malzahn will never have the Urban Meyer type success offense that he had in 2008. It may work at Tulsa, but not at Auburn.

For starters, his offense talent level is very low. It would take him years to build up the talent level to successfully run that offense. By the time that day comes, he'll be long gone from Auburn.

Tony Franklin had success at every stop he made, except Auburn of course. Why? Because he didn't have the proper talent to run his scheme. The same will happen to Malzahn, barring a miracle of course. I wish him well because I know he's an offensive genius; however the lackluster offensive talent level is a major concern at this point and time.

Takes me to this again. Understand that we run the pro-style and spread. We have talent in Athens that is more than capable of doing some of the same things that Gus and Auburn are doing, along with many other teams.

Guess Gus Malzahn proved he could do it, referring to the comment in the article above in italics. What Gus has done is "pay attention" to others and . . . .

Edit: The link below was written in 2009, much has changed since then.

Nothing wrong looking at the past much can be learned and avoid repeating. May not always

Work but the times it does it is worth the effort

I Have a feeling UT has not learned any lessons from the D'Rick Rogers mess

Not talking of school I but hope we have seen the last of the ME players that made a stop in

Athens. Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!
