Beating the dead horse - O Line must open holes or backs will be running into the backsides of our linemen.

TN Dawg, truly believe that the time has come for every football coach in Athens to go on a mission . . . . Don't care if you are a receiver coach, back coach, defensive line coach, defensive back coach, whatever the title.
Whether you like Saban and others or not, they understand the need for offensive linemen. "If" we cannot "build" an offensive line more than one year every other two or three years . . . . Ain't going to the final four, which will expand to the final eight in the near future, of which we will not participate if we continue to follow the "Leader?"
wlayton alerted those of us on this board way the hell before the "media" knew the name of Derrick Henry, from Yulee, Florida. The last I heard about his reasons for dropping his scholarhips from UGA to get on board in Tuscaloosa was one thing, offensive line play. Derrick is 6'3" and weighs 240 pounds. Runs like a deer, has learned during his time in Tuscalossa that he can "run over folks".
Got off of the thought pattern, but what little I know and post about comes down to facts.
Most of my contacts are from Central Florida down to the Miami/Lauderdale area. Information that I get and pass along about players such as Keyon Brown is brought to my attention by folks that are in contact with me.
Have said before, would like to hear more from those on this board that live in Georgia and follow high school football.
Yes, I bounce around, anyone on this board check out what the "media folks" do?
Has also been said to me that I am retired and most that post here are working "stiffs" and can't "chirp" like I often do. Work hard guys, your day will come. That is said with "tongue in cheek".
For the most part, I care about what happens in Athens. At this point . . . . doing a "look/see", not sure what I "see". Still have concerns about leadership.

Some truth in the statement about different college formations. However, have not found the running back position hugely effected on the NFL level regardless of pro-style or spread. Recent years the spread and other variations have popped up, probably see more and more coming from formations other than the pro-style. My opinion.
100% truth. There will be more spreads and such in the NFL and while some think we attract RB's
because we run a pro style offense, I am not so sure about that at all...
I have a different opinion of why we have become tailback U. Just a theory, but hear it out.... it has little to do with us running a pro style O. If you can run... you can run.
RB's come here and they know even if they sit for a single year, they will see the field in year 2.
We platoon at RB, and even our true #1 guy doesn't go out there and average 35 carries a game.
Come to UGA.. you wont have to wait until you're a junior or senior to see significant playing time even if you are not the #1 guy, and you also wont get ruined by being run into the ground 38 times a game like you would if you went to Wisconsin. You can get your exposure early and head on out to the NFL to make your money, and we wont have used you up while you were here.
Maybe?

Imo, whether it "actually" matters or not, I think most top HS RB's THINK and FEEL they need to be in the pro-style offense to prepare for the next level....which is a good thing for UGA.
The importance of RB's at the next level is declining anyway. Adopting the "spread" in the NFL is more in the passing game than the running game imo.
I'm a firm believer in everything "reverts back to the mean"...... RB's in the NFL will become relevant again one day.
