DWS, thought about your post after posting. Many times I read a post several times, and . . . . this old fart often comes away with different thoughts after reading the same "stuff" over and over.

Allow me this . . . .

I do believe that Mark Richt had an eye opening "come to realization" after the IC thingy on the sideline in ATL.

Sometimes when we have a set back, it is not like we can turn things around instantly. Not many magic wands in college football these days. Many times it takes being hit in the head with a 2x4 to "understand" our short comings. IC made me sick to my stomach with that "particular" show of BMOC.

Another thing that was hanging around our neck was a misconception that we had the one ingredient we needed to compete. That would be grantham. When the word "guilty" is used, that falls squarely on my shoulders. Not a bigger supporter of the grantham hiring than me. Both the original hiring and the "raise" to keep him in Athens. What a dumb ass I was. Still licking my wounds. Can only imagine what Richt was going through.

To that I say this . . . . I sincerely hope that Mark Richt has realized that there are those out there that will move "their cause" forward, giving a spit less what happens with the University of Georgia, that means you and I.

Pruitt/Rocker and Company were not a part of that spit. One thing we can do is this . . . . understand that the "newbies" recognize what happened prior to their hirings. They will make mistakes, but they are a different "breed". The "newbies" come from a different area of understanding how to "coach'em up".

Since Erk was released, (I said that) this is the first time that I have "believed" we are on the right track. Mark Richt is going into his 14th year as head coach. Dean of the SEC coaches. There is not place to hide, Mark Richt knows that. 2014 will be the first time in many years that Mark Richt finally understands what needs to be done. Why do I say that? Already he has turned our team over to Bobo and Pruitt.

Said in another post that we are going to get a couple of football players from Florida that will turn some heads before LOI Day.

I know. I get long. Love the Red and Black. Ugly sometimes, but "I" know where my "heart" is.

Would love to see ogredawg back. Don't think he knows how much he has meant to this board. Have had my feelings hurt many times here, lick my wounds and come back. That is what is going on in Athens now, licking wounds, but determined to change things.

Looks like he's going to be hard to keep off the field a lot of people think he will start against clemsup.


As far as the secondary goes M.Parrish will fill a spot I like the way he play's.

DWS, you have to help me out here. I try to keep up but Paris Bostick . . . . maybe I have missed something, not unusual, but . . . . He left our program. Hate that, he is a bad ass, smart and loves football. Did he return?

Do I think that Lorenzo Carter will play, yep. I believe that we have a very good chance of having two or three deep over the entire defense.

This is another #84 . . . . Keyon Brown, will play in 2014 along with Lorenzo Carter. Depth.

Posted this video several times, folks in Florida are licking their wounds with Keyon leaving. Superstar. FSU wanted Keyon. Truth.

Edit: Would not be surprised to see Pruitt/Rocker and Company move Keyon inside. Yep, same thing that Ramik Wilson is doing as we speak. This is the type of player that Rocker looks for, and the young man becomes "all that". Keyon will play several positions, but Buc believes that he will end up in the same spot that Ramik will relinquish after graduation. We will see. Three years in the Pruitt/Rocker and Company defense, going to be "sick". Catching on to the "new meanings" of certain words. Put this one in the vault.

Buc, I've gotta say that I also fell into the trap that grantham set for UGA fans. What a group of Lemmings we were? Just running towards the edge until we fell off! That includes players and coaches from the last 3 or 4 years,some that should have known better were sucked in, and some that just wanted to believe took the fall. These days the s--- starts at the top and keeps rolling down hill till its at its lowest point, US, and someone ,US, recognizes that something is seriously wrong and starts to scream loud enough. I sincerely hope that the DAWGS I've always cared so much for over the years are here now and guiding our team to be better on and off the field. I'm sure that I never liked the way I was beginning to feel about our team in the recent past. My stomach gave me a sick queasy feeling when the prima donnas complained and quit on the field,as we've all witnessed. If that continues, UGA football as we know will be done and I'm just not ready for that. I've kept quiet for a while now because I did'nt want to appear negative, hope a new leaf has been turned.

Chief, going back on this board, tried more than once to go with the flow. Comes a time when WTH comes into play. You with your experince know what the water tight hatch means. The flow more than once was Buc.

Somehow cannot believe that what I see now is false. If we fall flat on our face, then I know what the next step will be (or should be). Too damn much talent for us to not measure up. When I was in the Navy we had a Company that was labeled as "2013". Feel sure you know what I am referring to.

Truthfully don't think you have appeared to be negative. Not from where I sit. Have noticed from your beginning here, you call it like you see it. Would expect that from a 20 Year Leader.

Going to say this again. Watching film, Pruitt plays a lot of "cover two". What he does from what I can see in the film, he disguises it, Willie Martinez did not understand that "part" of "cover two". That also falls at the feet of Mark Richt. Not being ugly, just trying to point out that as you said above, it flows from the top. Mark Richt has not had a WTH, Chief growl.
